This place is a hotel that my daughter found on a platform called *********** with high ratings from tourists from all over the world. She asked me to look for it on Ctrip, and I didn’t expect to find it. This is a very convenient place with an excellent location. The hotel It is located in a quiet place. Go out and walk two to three hundred meters to the left to reach the most prosperous Shijo Kawaramachi business district in Kyoto. Bus and subway stations are nearby. It is very convenient to go everywhere, including the beautiful Pontocho Street and Kamogawa River. You can walk to the scenic area. There is a lifestyle supermarket about 100 meters to the left when you go out of the hotel. This is a very unexpected surprise. Fruits are available in the lifestyle supermarket. When visiting Kyoto, you can’t buy fruits everywhere. It can be said that It’s hard to buy fruit. We often take a bag or two of oranges and apples in the supermarket when we come back from traveling in the evening. We are very happy. The guys and girls at the hotel’s front desk are very friendly. The room is not very big, after all, Kyoto is The land is expensive, but all the facilities are complete and easy to use. The room is clean and has three separate small beds. Three people can sleep separately. I can't stand two people sleeping in the same bed. The washbasin is big enough. What impressed me the most was that they were equipped with two pillows, and there was actually a thin pillow. I can’t stand thick pillows when sleeping. No hotel has ever been equipped with thin pillows before. This trip lasted for ten days. To sleep well, I brought a thin pillow, but I didn’t use it. This configuration feels very user-friendly. In short, I am very satisfied with this hotel. The only thing I don’t like is that the quilt cover is too big. It became a bit lumpy during the process. It would be nice if the four corners of the quilt could be fixed with positioning cards.

This hotel is incredible ! It’s brand new, rooms are very upmarket, great facilities, quality of food (breakfast needs to be experienced to be believed), gym was excellent but it is the service that is absolutely mind blowing ! We haven’t experienced anything like it decades ! The check in experience was first class, room service first class and the concierge managed to surprise us every single day - running after us with umbrellas, chasing down taxi’s in the rain, big smiles every day and they were all really nice to our 5 Year old daughter (and it was genuine) ! So, we left our passports in the room safe by mistake - they called as soon as they found them (by which time we were in Tokyo) - the hotel manager, Kiyoshi Gomamoto sent one of their staff (Kokoro) to Tokyo hi hand deliver/return our passports to us, she was a lovely lady ! We are so appreciative and will cherish the memories from this hotel ! Thank you Kokoro, Kiyoshi and everyone at Fauchon. Highly recommended !
Gion Misen

Higashiyama
Earlier this month, I stayed at Gion Misen and loved the experience. There are many new hotels in the city but Gion Misen stands out and exceeded expectations. The location is superb, on quiet and historic Shimnomzen Street, nestled among beautifully preserved wooden machiya townhouses, antique shops, galleries, and small restaurants. The staff is kind and helpful. The included breakfast was ample and delicious, including good coffee! The beautifully designed, contemporary Japanese rooms have comfortable beds, plenty of electrical outlets and good lighting. Gion Misen is ideally situated for excursions to the beautiful surrounding neighborhoods and the heart of downtown Kyoto on foot and by short taxi rides to all corners of this magnificent city. Thank you for making me feel so welcome.

The room is very spacious, and the beautiful bamboo forest scenery outside is all shown through the living room and bedroom windows. The quality of the complimentary toiletries is very good. I booked the hotel's teppanyaki in the evening, the beef set meal is super tender, and the Japanese service is attentive... Forgot, Previously, we also offered free afternoon tea in the executive lounge, but as a result, I was too exhausted to finish dinner... In short, Sukiya Annex was the best place to experience during my trip to Kyoto and Osaka. I will continue to come back next time.
Hyatt Place Kyoto

I highly recommend this hotel! Location: it is in a hip part of Kyoto and steps away from the subway line, a craft beer bar and Convini. Room: rooms are spacious and comfortable. I love the modern decor and simplicity. I loved the bathroom, particularly the water pressure and of course the Japanese toilets. There’s a pullout sofa, table for eating or working and a tv. Our room was in the back so it was quiet but we would hear the garbage trucks at 5:45 am. Not ideal if you want to sleep in. Fortunately we were always up early. Breakfast: the breakfast is amazing. A lot of western and Japanese options. Lobby: the staff are very helpful and courteous. Extra toiletries can be found on the counter, two espresso machines can be found in the lobby, and three washer/dryers(coin operated) are found near the elevators. We loved being able to pack only a carry on and wash clothes during our trip. Overall, highly recommend!
