Mitsui Garden Hotel Kyoto Kawaramachi Jokyoji

Let me start with the conclusion: I'd stay here indefinitely and would recommend it to every friend visiting Kyoto. I feel incredibly lucky to have stayed here; it truly enhanced my travel experience. Cleanliness: I didn't find any issues. Ambiance: The lobby is very comfortable. Every time I returned, I'd sit there to relax. The flow of guests and hotel staff created a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel has an artistic touch that clearly sets it apart from budget hotels, yet it doesn't feel old. Room: It's not large, but definitely sufficient for two people. Service: There's always someone available, and all requests are promptly addressed. The ladies are gentle, and the gentlemen are very friendly. The cleaning staff, especially the 'aunties,' are incredibly diligent – they knock on the door so meticulously, it's like they're afraid of missing you, haha. Location: Absolutely fantastic! Just 10 meters outside is the bustling main street, offering a quiet retreat in the midst of it all. Nishiki Market, Shijo Kawaramachi, and Kamo River are all conveniently located. It's incredibly convenient. Walking down the alleys, you'll find many great restaurants to explore. We ate at Ichiryu Manbai Ramen for four days straight, haha. Breakfast: Not cheap, but very delicious!

This is my favorite hotel in Kyoto. The attention to detail is excellent, and the amenities are great. The room was perfectly adequate, not large but very charming. In the morning, I also enjoyed being able to book and attend the morning service at the temple next door. I loved it.
