Beautiful environment and excellent location, just a two-minute walk from three Keihan subway stations. Guests receive a welcome drink upon check-in. The rooms are well-equipped, spacious, and clean. I would choose this hotel again.

We had a wonderful stay at Dhawa Yura Kyoto and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The location is excellent, right next to Sanjo Station and within easy walking distance of Gion, Yasaka Shrine, Nishiki Market and many of Kyoto's main attractions. It made getting around the city incredibly easy. The hotel itself is modern, stylish and immaculately clean. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, quiet and a welcome place to relax after long days exploring Kyoto in the summer heat. One of the highlights was the breakfast. There was an excellent selection of both Japanese and Western dishes, with fresh fruit, eggs, rice, grilled fish, noodles, miso soup, vegetables, pastries, juices and good coffee and English breakfast tea. Everything was fresh and well presented, and it gave us a great start before our early morning adventures. The staff were consistently warm, welcoming and professional throughout our stay. We particularly appreciated being able to hire bicycles from the hotel, which allowed us to cycle to Kiyomizu-dera at sunrise before the crowds arrived. It became one of the highlights of our entire Japan trip. Overall, Dhawa Yura offered the perfect combination of comfort, service and location. If you're looking for a boutique hotel in Kyoto that's close to everything while still feeling peaceful and relaxing, this is an excellent choice. Highly recommended.

Dhawa Yura was our second hotel in Kyoto and it is actually very well located at the Sanjo station which makes it walkable for Gion/central Kyoto/Higashiyama and well connected to other main touristic areas through the subway. The hotel itself is really a boutique property and the staff is very attentive to the details - the hotel manager even came to greet my partner and I. The premier room was quite spacious and the design was mixing traditional Japanese influence and western commodities. Cleaning can be marginally enhanced in the rooms (notably in the bathroom). I would definitely come back to this hotel for the great value for money provided, for its staff and its geographical situation within Kyoto.

This is a comfortable and quite stylish hotel. The idea of a window in the shower seemed a bit unusual to me, but there is a curtain there, thankfully! 😄 It has a great location, not far from Gion, and you can quickly get to Kiyomizu-dera and Fushimi Inari from here. The breakfasts are good; in addition to the buffet, they offer to bring you an omelet and tea/coffee separately.
