The room and the overall experience was really good. Hotel location is not too far from the train station but a little far from the tourist spot downtown. Front desk is not available so you’d have to call to get help when you need one. The hotel also offers lending umbrellas and you could leave your baggage before and after checking out. Overall satisfied with this stay!

Be careful! Make sure you don’t forget to check in by Kyoto Station! I did not do so. There’s no staff at the actual hotel (not my favorite), you need a code to get in the front door, and you follow some email instructions to retrieve your room key. There’s also no Wi-Fi in the lobby for the online check-in option, so good luck! The room was also very cold, somehow colder than outside in the daytime (in January). Heater did not work. Also 0 English, but that’s forgivable as it is Kyoto. The room itself was not too bad. It was a nice size, had a full size bathroom, and even had a in-room washing machine (dryer is downstairs though). Overall could have been worse, but definitely was the low point of my trip. Be prepared, and I’m sure it has the potential to be a nice place.

Easy access to subway station was a big plus.
No indication of the exit at Kyoto station made it difficult to find the travel office.

It's a brand new and clean hotel.
The standard twin room is a little small at about 15 square meters, but it is very clean and well-maintained, and has a large TV, fast Wi-Fi, and a large bathtub, so I was able to spend a comfortable time there. You can also borrow tableware from the kitchen. There was no staff on duty except at night, but if you had a problem, you could help over the phone.
There are only 3 parking spaces available. There is a coin parking nearby, but the location and pricing system make it difficult for travelers to choose, so next time I would like to secure a parking lot before staying.
