Hilton Properties in Kyoto

This has been our second long stay at the Hilton Garden Inn, this hotel has become my stable wherever I am in Kyoto. We are pleased with the service and the ‘hilton standard’ during the 7 nights we have stayed here, but we find there is a few tiny little things that can improve to make the stay experience better: the hairdryer is way too big, we are of normal Asian female size, we find it hard to blow dry our hard without stretching out our arms and it gets really tired 😅. Second is the toilet roll, the spare roll is placed too low to the floor and tightly covered, we find this to be a little hygienic concern. Overall we are satisfied with our stay and looking forward to come back again!

The room was a bit small and the soundproofing was terrible; you could hear motorcycles and ambulances all night from the street. The hygiene was good, and the cleaning staff were very thorough. However, the service was quite poor. We had a child, but there were no kids' toothbrushes or slippers, and we had to ask for them. At breakfast on the ground floor, the staff on our last day offered an omelet menu and disposable bibs for children, which we had no idea were available on the first two days. On the other hand, the lounge staff were all excellent and even enthusiastically helped us find out where to buy Hokas.
