A Japanese authentic ryokan in a tiny calm seaside city. The staffs are friendly and they answered to all of our queries about the sightseeing spots nearby. Highly recommended to pre-request the room with sea view as I believe not all the rooms have such view. Great stay in overall, but the only minus point is that eventhough its a walking distance to the nearest station, there was no pedestrian until you reach the hotel, by which it was tough for those who have heavy suitcases. Not sure whether they provide pickup service or no though.

Gd location. V close to Amanohashidate viewland. A must visit spot. We stayed in room w terrace on G/F. Modern n nice decor. foldable mat provided for guests to sit on terrace. Just next to river bank. Privacy lacked but enjoyed seeing ships passing along from time to time. Public onsen not big but acceptable given the size of hotel. Free drinks n ice popsicles after onsen. Meals were good but not surprising. In laws stayed in room w outdoor onsen tub. Big w 92 square metres. V comfy. Gd views as room on 3/ F

Since it is Go to Travel, two couples traveled 々. It is a good distance from Osaka to arrive at 14:30 in the evening even after eating soba at Izushi on the way down the road. It seems to be the largest hotel group around here, and it seems that there are 13 facilities in total of the same group hotels around this Kamatsuen as well. Probably the oldest of them? The room stayed on the 6th floor, but all rooms have ocean view. There is also a bed ２ and a Japanese-style room, which is large enough for two people. The wallpaper and furniture can be seen as old, but the cleaning was well done for the old, and the sunset was seen from the beautifully polished window glass. I took a bath before meals, but the bath is on the first floor, and there is an indoor bath of a fair size and an open-air bath, but there is a hotel wall right next to it, and it is hidden in a tree 々 so that it cannot be peeped. 宮津駅より徒歩で10分程かかり、天橋立へ3km程の距離があり、宮津市街地唯一のコンビニエンスストアにも徒歩で10分程度要する場所にあるホテルです。周辺環境の状況から利用しづらい印象を持つと思いますが、だからこそかもしれませんが、平日休日問わず周辺は静かで、大声でおしゃべりするような宿泊客もおらず、非常に快適に滞在できるホテルだと思います。ホテルのスタッフも一様に丁寧な接客で、気さくに声をかけてくれるものの、必要以上に距離を詰めてくるような接し方はしません。 ロビーから客室に至るまで、清潔さが保たれているのは言わずもがな、設備やアメニティも無駄が無くよくまとまっています。客室への入室時のカードキーをかざすセンサーが分かりづらい、客室の電気系統がやや分かりづらい（入口のスイッチは、部屋全体の電気系統のオンとオフを切り替えるもののようです）、バスルームはバスタブが無くシャワーのみ（且つ大浴場が無い）、という注意点がありますが、それ以外は全く申し分はありません。 1階のロビーには待ち合わせスペースの他、共用のキッチンのようなスペースがあり（シンクがあるだけで実際の調理は出来ません）、宿泊客に対し無料でコーヒーを始めとするドリンクのサービスが提供されています（全て無料です）。 殆どの宿泊客が車で利用するからか、充分な広さの駐車場が備わっている上、ホテルの目の前には高速バスのバス停があるため、京都などからの高速バスを利用してのホテルの利用も非常に便利です。 周辺は飲食店がいくつかありますが、上記の通りコンビニエンスストアはこのホテルよりやや遠いところにあります。一方でホテルの北（徒歩2～3分程度）のところにショッピングモールがありますので、食糧調達に殊更不便、ということは無いと思います。周辺環境にやや難はあるものの、ホテル自体は素晴らしく、何度も利用したくなるホテルです。 It takes about 10 minutes on foot from Miyazu Station, about 3 km to Amanohashidate, and about 10 minutes on foot to the only convenience store in Miyazu city center. The surrounding environment of this hotel may give the impression that it is difficult to use the hotel, but perhaps that is why the area is quiet on weekdays and holidays, and there are no guests who chat loudly, making the hotel a very comfortable place to stay. The hotel staff is also uniformly courteous and friendly, but they don't treat you in a way that puts more distance between you and them than is necessary. From the lobby to the guest rooms, it goes without saying that cleanliness is maintained, and the facilities and amenities are well organized without being wasteful. There are a few minor issues: the sensor to hold the card key when entering the room is confusing, the electrical system in the room is a bit confusing (the switch at the entrance seems to turn the entire electrical system on and off), and the bathroom is shower only with no bathtub (and there is no large bath). Other than that, everything else is perfect. In addition to the meeting area, there is a common kitchen-like area in the lobby on the first floor (with a sink, but no actual cooking) where coffee and other beverages are served to guests free of charge (all free of charge). The hotel has a large parking lot, probably because most guests use the hotel by car, and there is an express bus stop right in front of the hotel, making it very convenient to use the hotel by express bus from Kyoto and other cities. There are several restaurants in the area, but as mentioned above, a convenience store is located somewhat farther away from the hotel. On the other hand, there is a shopping mall just north of the hotel (about a 2 to 3 minute walk), so it's not particularly inconvenient to procure food. Although the surrounding environment is a little difficult, the hotel itself is excellent, and I would like to use this hotel again and again.

The Infinity Outdoor Onsen overlooking the Sea of Japan has been featured on Japanese TV several times. Excellent at sunset! (Hence the name: Yuhi no Ura Onsen- Sunset Beach) There is another onsen (alternates male/female) which was decorated with a statue inside and, outside, with Zen elements and a quietness I preferred. But the Hinoki Cedar onsen bath in our room was the best. Private and as long as I liked. We had the third floor Modern Japanese room which is designed to be the Captains' Room with a deck in the appearance of the ship' bow. Very large, comfortable beds, and loved the ceiling-to-floor windows. All drinks in fridge and dinner were free and the sake was excellent. Dinner was served in private sectioned rooms but with a public, almost festival-like atmosphere. Beautiful arrangements, lovely choice of flavors and very creative dishes. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Sadly, no elevators. Will look forward to visiting again!

This time I was worried about snow due to the cold wave, so I gave up my car and went to the Resort Pier Kumihama Hotel to eat crab by train. The hotel will pick you up by bus to Toyooka Station and arrive at the hotel in about 30 minutes. The crab for dinner is also grilled, and the crab pot is full! I had them make porridge, but it was delicious, so I got it firmly. The bath was hot, but it wasn't that much and it was comfortable when I entered. This time, everyone is playing golf in Kumihama Country and trying to stay here again. Thank you very much.

The ingredients were all fresh and there were so many things that it was impossible to finish! After checking out, we took the hotel bus to the station. The service staff bid us farewell warmly. The service in this Japanese-style hotel is really a different experience from ordinary five-star hotels. I will stay here again if I have the opportunity!
