Shouhaiting Hotel offers elegant and comfortable accommodation, especially for adult guests. Each room offers stunning views of the Japanese Sea and a bathtub for relaxation. In terms of catering, the fresh seafood and local specialties are even more amazing.

When booking a one-night, two-dinner dinner, the meal items (or meal labels) were not specified. Fortunately, there were Chinese-speaking reception staff on site to assist!
The renovated Japanese restaurant is small, beautiful, exquisite and comfortable.
Seasonal fish, local specialties snail dishes and wagyu beef barbecue are all carefully prepared and perfectly presented by the chefs.
There is only one cafe and landscaping platform nearby where you can watch the sunset!

Unbelievable! I wanted to eat Taiza crab, so I splurged on it thinking it would be a lifelong luxury, but the room was just average. I had high hopes for the food, but the crabs were small and the meat was thin and tasteless, so I don't think it was delicious. For just under 100,000 yen per person, that's not right! For this price, I think it's natural to have the food served to you, but they're doing it all for you?! It would be much better to order it and eat it at home. They should think about how to make the meal more comfortable and delicious...I understand that they're short-staffed, but there were no Japanese people there. I feel like I was made a fool of. I'll never go again.

We had a full course of crab dishes, including over 200,000 yen worth of Taiza crab for two people, which was very delicious, but the staff were all foreign, and the explanations were in a foreign accent, which half the atmosphere was lost, which was a bit sad. We stayed in the best room on the third floor, but we did not feel any hospitality or warmth that you would expect from a ryokan. I understand the recent cost-cutting measures, but it felt like they had cut costs too much and had not thought about the comfort of the guests. It has been said since ancient times that a ryokan is determined by its female owner, but I think there are many ways to improve the soft aspects. On the morning of our check-out, we were the only group there, and it was only five or six steps to the front door, but the female owner, who was there, did not even say a final goodbye. We will never go again, but for the sake of future guests, I hope they will study more about how the ryokan business should be and welcome them with sincerity.
