We stayed here for four nights, in connection with a conference we were attending in the area. This is a lovely, modern and fresh hotel with great views from the front. Here are the main points. Location: Up a hill from the local village of Kvinesdal, on a main road which is not so busy. Plenty of free car parking and great views over the valley below. You would need a car to get to and from the village centre. Reception: Always friendly and helpful when approached, excellent service from a young lady who we discovered was from Scotland. Room: We had booked a superior room. This faced the front of the hotel but the expected view from our room was largely blocked by a house across the road, this was a disappointment as we were expecting a room with a view. The room was fine, the bed was very comfortable and had a nice shower room. Hanging space for clothes was minimal, it would have been nice to have a cupboard and some drawers, especially for a four night stay. Cheaper, economy rooms are also available at the back, overlooking the car park. Breakfast: Great selection, served downstairs in the reception area. Self service with plenty of choice. Conclusion: An excellent choice in the Kvinesdal area. Clean, modern and well run, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Highly recommended!

The hotel sits in a vey commanding position, elevated in the hills above the Kvinesdal. We stayed in a fabulous suite on the 5th floor with the most amazing views over the mountains, valley and river with the sea in the distance. The apartment was very well appointed with a separate lounge area and kitchen and doors to a good-sized balcony with table and chairs. The bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom was well designed and fitted out. The reception area is attractive and open plan with new furniture and some interesting modern art on the walls. The breakfast area and dining room are off reception as is a terrace where meals can also be taken weather-permitting. The breakfasts were very good with hot and cold selections and pancakes grilled on the spot. The most delicious bread is baked on site early in the morning to be ready for breakfast. We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant and can highly recommend the menu, particularly the fish soup. The use of local produce and fresh herbs from the hotel garden is nice touch. Highly recommended!

This hotel has a great view and a nice breakfast, however the beds are terribly soft and you end up sleeping with your head "downhill". Unfortunately the pillows are thin, and even with an extra pillow, (only 1 extra pillow although it was a double room) we slept on a slope. We did our best to prop up the pillows with our own clothes underneath them. It did not make for a good nights sleep. We would need at least 3 pillows each by default to get our heads in a normal position. To be fair we did not ask for extra pillows as it would be too embarrassing to ask for that many pillows. I am sure they would have remedied the situation. Ideally they could just provide firm pillows as a default. Surely they must be aware of the soft beds.
In summary, if you don't mind sleeping downhill, or don't mind to ask for some extra pillows this hotel is great because of the stunning views.

Very nice view over Kvinesdal and the fjord. The best view from the hotel is from the rooms in the fifth floor, which also have a small balcony. Food was very good. Very friendly staff. Hotel needs some renovations and modernisation. Restaurant tables, and room furniture felt very old, as if one is in a retirement home. Would also be nice if there was a swimming pool in front of the hotel :)

Have stayed here in the past & went back twice this year (despite the ongoing pandemic) for the golfers’ package which included dinner, bed & breakfast, packed lunch for the golf & 2 greenfees for the wonderful nearby 18 hole course. Excellent value. Super helpful , welcoming & friendly service from the hotel director, Agnes Berntsen & all her staff at this well run, spotless hotel. Extremely comfortable beds in modern rooms/ suite with breathtaking views over Kvinnesdal & Feda fjord. High class tasty food. Covid-19: The hotel operates with very high standards of infection control. Highly recommend.

Et utmerket hotell. Men to forhold var av negativ karakter. Ved middagsserveringen ble vi betjent av en servitør som ikke kunne norsk. Ikke akseptabelt . Kun dansk øl var tilgjengelig på et norsk hotell.
