Kuredu was our third island in Maldives. I'll write down the good and the not so good things we found. What we liked: The turtles. For us the main attraction of the island. You could see them everyday, sometimes even 2 or 3 of them in one place. Really great watching them. The wreck - I've made a dive, and there is a small wreck, starting at 5m depth, going down to 20m. Quite an easy dive, and Marc was a very good guide. What we disliked: At Kuredu you have to pay for a lot of things that are free in other resorts. Starting with the morning coffee - which is free, but of such bad quality, that we couldn't drink it, the internet, which is limited, you have a 500 MB daily quota, and only available in the room and reception, if you want full coverage that is extra. The house reef is quite poor, unfortunately. Not too many corals or fish compared to where we've previously been. The safety: there are strong currents, if you go out to the drop, where the reef is. They have flat buoys, that are hard to see, and if you venture further, and miss the last buoy, you find yourself in a very strong current and possibly a critical situation. Can't say it was a bad experience, but there's definitely room for improvement. And not having the "basics" covered leaves a bad taste, seeing that the resort wants to squeeze every dollar out of our pocket.
