Kumamoto Washington Hotel Plaza Reviews

It is a 8-minute walk to Kumamoto Sakuramachi Bus Terminal and Gyomu Supermarket (they are close to each other). Super convenient!!! Also Kumamoto Washington Hotel Plaza has Netflix which is a great way to unwind after a day's travel. However, the housekeeping forgot to clean out the fridge in which the previous traveller had left behind a box of pre-packed cooked veggies and slices of sausages.

Located in the center of Kumamoto, the breakfast is very rich. The room is very small, and it is difficult for two people to sleep. Parking is very convenient. Parking in the large multi-story parking lot opposite is OK for ¥1,300 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 am the next morning. It is also close to Kumamoto Castle.

Japanese hotels are so expensive on weekends that it hurts my heart! This hotel has a good location and a good price. It looks a bit old, and there are many Japanese guests staying there. The facilities are neither good nor bad. The advantage is that the location is good. It is next to the busiest commercial street in Kumamoto. It is located close to the Sakuramachi Bus Terminal and there is a Shimotori nearby, so it seems very good for sightseeing. I used it for one day because the first train from where I live was too late, and I was able to check out early in the morning freely, which was nice. The accommodation was clean and it was bigger than other hotel single rooms, which was nice. There was a slight dusty smell rather than a fluffy smell from things like towels, but I don't think it was annoying.

It has been renovated and is very clean. The large public bath is also good. The horse curry for dinner is delicious, but when I went there around 10pm, there was almost no meat in the curry and no fukujinzuke pickles either.

It's in a busy area. There are so many cars that it's sometimes difficult to drive around the hotel. It's something to think about.

I stayed here for work, and the location was great as it was close to the downtown area! The breakfast buffet was also delicious!

The location of the hotel is very good, but the rooms are dilapidated and should be repaired. If I stay at this hotel at this price, I will probably not stay there again. The nearby parking lot is very convenient and very suitable for self-driving tours.
