Kumamoto Washington Hotel Plaza Reviews

The location is nice, close to the castle. It was nice to visit onsen in the hotel and try curry with horse meat in the evening. The breakfast was good too - buffet. The room was comfortable and clean. But the bed was sooo extremely small for 2 people. We are exhausted and could not normally sleep. I don’t know why the sell such small beds in rooms for 2. This was only but very big disadvantage. I guess if you are alone it is perfect.

There were 3 staffs at front desk, but no speaks English. Hotel size is big, but not trained for foreig customer. My room was 4th floor and it has very tiny open window. Furthermore, it faces other room directly. These kind of building design shall be blamed in local area. (If it is inTokyo, I could understand) At 3 am I was awaked by water dropping sound. There is rain drain coming from roof to 3f floor and it made noise during whole night. (It was not rained)

I traveled around Kumamoto Prefecture by car. The hotel offered excellent parking facilities, and the staff were incredibly friendly, providing useful local information. From check-in to check-out, the front desk handled everything smoothly and courteously, making it a truly dependable hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. While the view from the window wasn't anything special, the quality of the hotel's services more than made up for it. The complimentary drink service after using the hot spring and the curry rice were absolutely perfect. This is definitely a place I'd love to revisit.

The location was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. When heavy rain made it difficult to find transportation to the hotel, the staff went above and beyond to assist me, and I finally managed to arrive. The bath facilities were also excellent, and the room was surprisingly spacious for a Japanese hotel. Overall, I was extremely satisfied.

The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Kumamoto Sakuramachi Station. It's conveniently situated near a bustling shopping street, with numerous restaurants and convenience stores in the vicinity. The rooms are equipped with modern facilities, including a small sofa and a dining table. A taxi to Kumamoto Castle costs about 900 JPY. The hotel's prime location makes it incredibly convenient for shopping, sightseeing, and dining.

Have to take tram from kumamoto station to the hotel. The room is nice and clean. There is also.an onsen which is great. The hotel is situated in a lively neighbourhood whereby there are a lot of restaurants. The place became very lively at night.

The hotel is nice and cosy. We enjoyed the onsen facilities and also get to try the horse curry provided by the hotel in the evening. Nice experience.

I stayed at this hotel in April this year, and it was so good that when I started planning my current trip to Kumamoto, I immediately decided to book it again. Everything – the facilities, location, and price – was fantastic. If I return to Kumamoto, I'll definitely choose this hotel again.

I've stayed at the Washington Hotel on both of my visits to Kumamoto. Its location is perfect for exploring the city center and conveniently reaching nearby tourist attractions. Additionally, it's very close to Sakuramachi Terminal. Both the cleanliness and the staff's exceptional hospitality were highly impressive.

The hotel's location is absolutely superb, right on a lively shopping street! This does mean it can be a bit noisy, especially at night with loud cars cruising by. Make sure to choose a room away from the street.

The rooms and the public bath were clean. However, the breakfast buffet was a big disappointment. We were informed that breakfast was served until 9:30 AM (with the buffet closing at 10:00 AM). However, when we arrived around 8:50 AM, about half of the items were already empty. Despite having 3-4 staff members present, they frequently replenished plates and utensils, but no food items were refilled at all. I also felt that the initial selection of dishes was quite limited, which made the buffet seem even more meager. Most of the dishes I had wanted to try were already gone. There were only two pieces of one type of bread left. For dessert, just a single small bowl of canned fruit and one yogurt remained. It made me wonder what other options there might have been earlier. I paid an extra ¥1,500 for this breakfast, but in hindsight, I should have just gone to the nearby Sukesan Udon instead.

Even for a single room, it was surprisingly spacious, larger than many standard rooms. It features a fantastic public bath, and the location is excellent for sightseeing. With complimentary curry, ice cream bars, and yogurt, it was simply the best!

The location is incredibly convenient, being very close to both the main arcade and Sakuramachi Terminal. It's spotless, and fresh towels and lounge wear are provided daily. While not large, the room was perfectly adequate and featured a big window. A selection of amenities is available for guests to pick up from the first floor. Guests can also choose from three types of pillows. The front desk staff are exceptionally friendly. There's a public bath that is consistently kept very clean.
