Booked for Trader KL to view the firewood in front of KLCC inside the room.
1The staffs from front desk, room attendees, each location staffs managers such as lounge managers, staffs , they are very friendly and warm to greet and helping me and my family to achieve the great experience during our stay.
We felt very warm and being treated like a VIP for every visits to their areas.
And the room is clean and the view is just amazing. I could see direct KLCC view at floor 26x3.
Although during the new year firewood, per my experience , u better go to sky bar and see it cos the firewood inside my room was not per my expectation (though is not hotel issue).
My litter regret over here.
The food is nice and tasted good.- breakfast.
Overall, our experience in Trader is magnificent. I felt lovely and warm during my stay.

Like many Shangri-La hotels now, this is quite dated and could definitely use some upgrades in rooms and across the property. The room is old-school Shangri-La style, hasn't seen some work in a while, feels and looks a bit old. The sockets have been frustrating - had to call a couple of times to get it fixed and sorted.
The QR code for in-room dining also never loaded, had to call to ask for a menu, which then took forever.
The pool also, very obvious on the eye it's old and even feels a bit sad. No cushioned day beds around the pool. The sparkling water I ordered took forever, and when ordering by QR code by the way, staff should check what your room deal is - I had no deposit on the room as pre-paid, so they had to come back again to ask me to pay, small details I know, but often it's the details that make a 5 star stand out.
WiFi across the property was terrible. Super slow at the pool, in the lobby and in room it kept disconnecting - as a business traveller this isn't ideal and disrupted the work flow. Enjoyed the lobby lounge layout though, super spacious and tables distanced well, so plenty of privacy. Decent drinks offer, the bread of the steak sandwich however was dry. Perhaps toast it a little too for a bit of crunch?!
I called the service centre from room to see what opening hours are at Arthur's Bar & Grill and what the happy hour deal is, she said ”all day Sunday” - no such thing as happy hour on a Sunday here.
Not sure I'd come back as rooms and WiFi are key to my business travels - all needs to feel comfortable and work properly.
