Mercure Hotel Trion – Stay from 20–23 Feb I stayed here with my family for three nights. Overall the stay was okay and the hotel was generally clean, which made it comfortable enough for a short trip. The main issue we experienced was the air-conditioning. Even when set to 18°C, the room didn’t feel cold at all, especially at night. Service was a bit inconsistent depending on who you spoke to. When I first asked about parking, a female staff member told me it would be RM10 and that the rate could be adjusted at checkout since I was staying for several days. I confirmed with her that it would still be RM10 even if we entered and exited multiple times. However, when I checked out and handed over my Touch ‘n Go card, another staff member informed me that it was actually RM10 per entry. After I explained what I had been told earlier, he apologized and kindly waived the parking fee for me this time. Aside from that confusion, the stay was generally fine. If you’re looking for a clean and decent place to stay, this hotel is still a reasonable option.

The location of the hotel is strategic. Although the parking place is a bit aged but the hotel is well maintained. The staffs are very friendly and check in process done smoothly. The hotel room is very cozy and the mattress is very comfortable. I like the most is a water dispenser in the room.Very convenient👍🏻

We booked two Superior Suites with Sofa Beds and while there were some highlights, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. Our first impression wasn't the best, as one of our rooms had a very strong, unpleasant odour. Thankfully, the staff handled it immediately and moved us to a new room without any hassle. One thing to note is the lighting: if you prefer a bright, airy space, you might find the level 3 rooms a bit gloomy. The windows were small and the indoor lighting was quite dim. Interestingly, we visited a relative on the 6th floor whose room had a much bigger window and better natural light, so it seems to vary by floor. On the plus side, the shower was excellent with consistent hot water and great pressure. However, breakfast was a bit of a letdown. The options were quite limited and the quality was just 'okay'. The absolute standout of our stay was the service. The staff are clearly well-trained and genuinely helpful, they went out of their way to assist us whenever we had an issue. Overall, it’s an 'okay' hotel for a short stay. It is likely your best alternative if you have events in the Selayang or Batu Caves area and need to stay nearby.

Check-in process is fast and convenient. Rooms are clean and tidy. Probably it is still a pretty new hotel. Facilities are pretty standard with a pool and restaurant. Except for the room setup. The doors to the toilet and shower opens out into the room with no room for the rug on the floor. So the floor outside of the shower will be slightly wet though it was not too bad. TV channel options were not good. Local channels mostly. Not even Astro or Netflix. Or any cable TV. The window is facing the opposite residential building, very near. So the lack of privacy if you prefer to have the curtains open will be an issue. The area surrounding the hotel lacks commercial shops as it is within industrial area. Will need to get transportation to go to nearby Subang or Shah Alam areas for food or shopping. This hotel is probably more suited to business travellers who are here to attend to business at the surrounding office and industrial buildings.
