Central City Hotel @ Chinatown

If you have high standards for cleanliness, I strongly advise against staying here. I booked three consecutive nights, mainly because I saw reviews saying the food was good, and I was surprised by how low the price was, even with breakfast included. I completely forgot to check the room size, which turned out to be tiny and located on a corner. The constant noise from cars and people definitely made it feel like a city center. If you're a light sleeper, avoid this place at all costs. My elderly family member couldn't sleep a wink, and the sound of motorcycles 'bombing' the streets in the middle of the night was incredibly loud. The air conditioning remote pointed directly at the bed, and I ended up catching a cold overnight 😷... Frankly, after just one day, my family and I felt extremely uncomfortable. It wasn't an issue with the service; the hygiene was genuinely terrible. There were small crawling insects on the table and bed. Both my baby and mother developed rashes after sleeping there for just one night, even though we used our own bed sheets. We checked out the very next day. Although they said they wouldn't refund the three-day room fee, we decisively changed hotels. My child said the food didn't cause any upset stomach, but it was just average, not as incredibly delicious as some reviews claimed. Getting a taxi nearby always meant being stuck in traffic for a long time. I heard there's plenty of other public transportation nearby if you walk, but unfortunately, we didn't get to experience it. I didn't take any photos of the room's interior because, frankly, as soon as I entered, it didn't feel very clean; there were stains on the sheets and such... I really wasn't in the mood to take pictures.

The hotel is in a good location, practically in the city center, and within walking distance of the main square. However, the hotel itself is very old. My room smelled of cigarettes, even though I had requested a non-smoking room. Also, it looked bigger and cleaner in the photos. I hung the 'please clean' sign in the morning before going out, but when we returned at 4 PM, they only came to clean at 5 PM. The breakfast food was tasty; you could put together a decent European breakfast. But it's very noisy because it's right by the road, and the soundproofing in the rooms is terrible. There's also a closed interconnecting door in the room, and you can hear everything happening in the neighboring room through it.

You can't beat this location. It offers more than enough for a 3-star hotel. They were helpful with everything ;) If I were to come again, I'd choose the same place. Cheap and central.

The hotel has a pretty great location, right near the metro. You can walk to the Kuala Lumpur Tower, Petronas Towers, and Merdeka Square. The breakfast is worth mentioning; even though it wasn't super varied, it was tasty, especially the baked banana muffins. You could tell the breakfast was made with care. For me, the big downside was the shower – very little space. The staff are Indian, friendly folks, big props to them.

Great location! The restaurant food is delicious! It's super close to Chinatown and within walking distance to many attractions! A very nice place to stay. 👍 Wishing everyone who stays here a comfortable experience, just like we had! 🤗

1. First of all, the hotel's front desk staff, especially the young man, was very helpful and responsive to any questions or requests, which made me feel very secure. 2. The interior of the accommodation was quite good and well-equipped with everything I needed. 3. The hotel's location is excellent, with many popular attractions nearby and close proximity to public transportation (rail transit) stations.
