Hotel Pudu Plaza Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur|0.85km from Cherry Blossom Karaoke Lounge
The front desk of the hotel is very kind and you can speak clean English normally, so you don't have to worry about communication. At the front desk, he taught me how to use the taxi app-grab and how to make a reservation. Thanks to that, all the movement was grab and easy. It was about 6 minutes walk from LaLaport, close to Central Market and Bukit Bintang by taxi. You can drink 500 PET bottles of water, tea and instant coffee every day in the room. The room also has a refrigerator. I chilled the mango I bought and ate it. However, be careful as toilet paper and bath towels may not be changed unless they are told. There is a supermarket in the building where you can use your credit card, and it is convenient to have canned beer, dry mangoes, nuts, etc. The exchange office in the building is vacant except on Sundays. Clothing is sold on the second floor of the supermarket, but for some reason there were many men's items. There were multiple massage shops on the 1st and 2nd floors, and I went there every day comfortably. In front of the hotel, there are many Chinese restaurants and it is crowded with locals. Fruits are also sold and retailed, and there. I had them eat rambutan, dragon fruit, etc. (Because you can't bring mangostin to the hotel) Right next to the hotel is the icc market, and if you get tired of the hotel rice, you can eat delicious rice here, and local clothes in the basement of this building (light and easy to wear) Is sold cheaply. I want to stay again because the location is excellent.

Asia Like Boutique Hotel

I had checked in Asia like boutique hotel in kualalumpur on 14th January at 2:00 pm . As soon as I entered my room ,I went to washroom to freshen up..when I tried to leave the washroom I discovered that door handle was loose and door couldn't be opened from inside. And hence I was stuck in washroom.there was no intercom so I immediately started shouting and making noises but soon I realized that no one can hear me.i removed the shower head and tried breaking the door which was of glass but it didn't break despite all my efforts.i removed the rubber around the door in hope of taking down the glass from frame but it was in vain. I also tried to move the false ceiling but couldn't do it. All I was able to do was remove the frosting paper from door so that I was able to see outside of the washroom. I remained trapped there from 2 :00 pm till 12:00 am midnight that is about 10 hours. In the meantime ,when my family wasn't able to contact me they sensed that something is wrong so they called hotel reception and asked them to check on me. Then a person ( named ” Mr aswad” not sure of pronunciation) came to my rescue and was able to get me outside . I asked to talk to Manager but was told that they will come in morning. I couldnt leave the hotel this late at night being a solo traveller and after such traumatic incident so I decided to stay the rest of night there . In the morning I went to hotel receptionist Ms Jenny .She was apologetic and went to check the lock herself and on finding it faulty blammed the maintenance staff. She had conversation on phone with her boss Mr Williams which I couldn't understand due to language barrier .I then talked to Mr William on phone . He was apologetic and offered compensationon my next stay in that hotel. I refused to move from property till they gave me an incident report or some type of written apology/insurance claim . After repeated phone calls I was refunded half the money for my one day stay. They had the audacity to compensate me for half day for damaged/faulty properties that they provide to customers and the mental and physical agony that I had to endure .they should be closed down.

It's the worst 4 star hotel i have ever stayed in. The hotel interior & hardware look shabby, bathroom is dark. And the cleanliness of the room is terrible (4 star Hotel ....). Ruined my wonderful travel mood with my girlfriend as she used 40min to clean the room & use our own pillow sheets. We do request to change another room, but unlucky the reception told the hotel is fully booked and don't have available room for us to change, so we forced to stay in the room for our 4D3N KL trips. The room service need to be improved. We do request 2 times rooms services (1 is call to fix the toilet bowl flushing button as no available room to change, 1 is request additional hanger), 2 times also need wait vey long time & called twice at least to get solve. Other issues in the room : TV - still old style TV, only can watch Hotel TV channel (4 star..... don't have smart TV to watch online show, can't even phone mirroring.... ) Floor - uneven Table, chairs & bed/bedsheets - dusts & stains. Bathroom - door broke, shower area dark, toilet bowl flushing button not work, wash basin edge surrounding with black stain.... Fridge - don't know what century, not interest to open and have a look. AC- not cool enough, still will feel warm (18.5DC). Impression - pay for 4 star fees, stay in 2 star room.

More about Kuala Lumpur

All About Kuala Lumpur

Say hello to Kuala Lumpur, a dazzling city that sits at the heart of Malaysia, both geographically and culturally. It's not just the capital city but the epitome of Malaysia's rapid urban development and rich heritage. Kuala Lumpur, or "KL" as locals call it, is more than just steel-clad skyscrapers and luxury shopping malls; it's a vibrant melting pot of diverse cultures, gastronomic delights, and hidden gems waiting to be explored. Did you know that Kuala Lumpur translates to "Muddy Confluence" in Malay, referring to the spot where the Klang and Gombak rivers merge?

Kuala Lumpur Travel Essentials

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is your main entry point, boasting top-notch facilities and an efficient Express Rail Link (ERL) service that takes you straight to the city centre. For moving around the city, KL's public transportation is commendable with MRTs, LRTs, and taxis available at your convenience.

The city primarily uses the Malaysian Ringgit for transactions, and credit cards are widely accepted. While Bahasa Malaysia is the national language, English is commonly spoken in business and tourist areas, making it easy for international travellers.

As for visa requirements, always check the latest information with your local Malaysian embassy or consulate. Generally, nationals from various countries are allowed to enter Malaysia without a visa for tourism purposes.

Exploring Kuala Lumpur's Top Attractions

The iconic Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world, is an absolute must-see. For history enthusiasts, Merdeka Square and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building paint a vivid picture of Malaysia's past. Nature lovers will enjoy the lush Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, while food aficionados should not miss Jalan Alor, a bustling food street boasting a wide array of local dishes.

Navigating Kuala Lumpur's Weather

Kuala Lumpur enjoys a tropical rainforest climate, where sunshine and showers can happen in the same day. Temperatures in KL usually range from 22°C to 33°C. While the city is ideal to visit year-round, the best times are from May to July and December to February when rainfall is minimal. It's advisable to pack lightweight clothing, a raincoat or umbrella, and comfortable shoes for city exploration.
