Hotel Pudu Plaza Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur|0.71km from BERJAYA University College
The front desk of the hotel is very kind and you can speak clean English normally, so you don't have to worry about communication. At the front desk, he taught me how to use the taxi app-grab and how to make a reservation. Thanks to that, all the movement was grab and easy. It was about 6 minutes walk from LaLaport, close to Central Market and Bukit Bintang by taxi. You can drink 500 PET bottles of water, tea and instant coffee every day in the room. The room also has a refrigerator. I chilled the mango I bought and ate it. However, be careful as toilet paper and bath towels may not be changed unless they are told. There is a supermarket in the building where you can use your credit card, and it is convenient to have canned beer, dry mangoes, nuts, etc. The exchange office in the building is vacant except on Sundays. Clothing is sold on the second floor of the supermarket, but for some reason there were many men's items. There were multiple massage shops on the 1st and 2nd floors, and I went there every day comfortably. In front of the hotel, there are many Chinese restaurants and it is crowded with locals. Fruits are also sold and retailed, and there. I had them eat rambutan, dragon fruit, etc. (Because you can't bring mangostin to the hotel) Right next to the hotel is the icc market, and if you get tired of the hotel rice, you can eat delicious rice here, and local clothes in the basement of this building (light and easy to wear) Is sold cheaply. I want to stay again because the location is excellent.

Great and beautiful scenery at night in the middle of the city of Kuala Lumpur, only the service from the security and housekeeping is a bit unsatisfactory, not friendly, hope it can be improved.

Firstly, its an apartment - Not a hotel room. This is important as to manage expectation. So, dont expect a carpetted room etc. There is no reception for checking in. The lady whatsapped me upon my reservation. Then we will just contact her once we are nearby and she will meet up with us and bring us to the apartment. RM200 cash deposit also paid there . But, she's a friendly & kind lady. The apartment was good. Our stay was pleasant. Air-con was cold. Room was clean & daily housekept. Spacious queen-size beds & comfortable. Big Bathroom with bathtub & separate shower cubicle. The WC is in an adjoining room. Clean microwave, dishes & refrigerator. Basic living room, tv & dining but we dont spend too much time in the apartment. Good wifi - in the apartment as well as the shopping centre. All hotel amenities also made available to us. Its very conveniently located. Shopping Mall has lotsa shops, restaurants, fast food & activities. Kiddies theme park, cinema, laser games ❤ Starbucks. Its also walking distance to cut through to go to Bukit Bintang (Starhill). Enjoy the buskers scene along Bukit Bintang area, lights, music & the lively bustling nightlife. Only thing found 3-4 baby coakroaches at the wc room where the drain & mop is located. Dont mind coming back.

Angeline who organised our check-in/out is really nice and responsive. Apartment is old but reasonable for it's price. Has a living room, small kitchenette and 2 queen beds. Master room wash basin is a little choked. Great view from our unit. Location is super convenient. There is no reception and check in/out is organised by this lady - Angeline. Requires RM200 deposit.
Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

It was not the best of hotel stays but also not the worst. Hotel should correctly reflect itself as a 3-star family-friendly motel. The reception looks understaffed with only 1 or 2 person (max) attending to the holiday season crowd. Room was cozy but the cupboards, carpet and other furniture do not look like they have been well kept, maintained or refurbished. Windows and curtains not well kept. The television network and resolution was very bad and made it almost impossible to enjoy a proper show or movie. Even the hotel e-menu shown through the TV was not clear. The hotel buffet was underwhelming as it only served vegetarian menu for breakfast. The restaurant also had posters of somewhat motivational quotes of public figures as well as a video of the hotel owner advocating for guests to adopt a vegetarian lifestyle. We ate what we could but the experience was not an enjoyable one. The only plus point about the hotel is that it is located conveniently within the same vicinity as Berjaya Times Square Mall and its indoor theme park. Also conveniently located near to shopping districts of Bukit Bintang and a short train or Grab ride to KLCC. Overall, a decent hotel for those who are not picky.

More about Kuala Lumpur

All About Kuala Lumpur

Say hello to Kuala Lumpur, a dazzling city that sits at the heart of Malaysia, both geographically and culturally. It's not just the capital city but the epitome of Malaysia's rapid urban development and rich heritage. Kuala Lumpur, or "KL" as locals call it, is more than just steel-clad skyscrapers and luxury shopping malls; it's a vibrant melting pot of diverse cultures, gastronomic delights, and hidden gems waiting to be explored. Did you know that Kuala Lumpur translates to "Muddy Confluence" in Malay, referring to the spot where the Klang and Gombak rivers merge?

Kuala Lumpur Travel Essentials

Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is your main entry point, boasting top-notch facilities and an efficient Express Rail Link (ERL) service that takes you straight to the city centre. For moving around the city, KL's public transportation is commendable with MRTs, LRTs, and taxis available at your convenience.

The city primarily uses the Malaysian Ringgit for transactions, and credit cards are widely accepted. While Bahasa Malaysia is the national language, English is commonly spoken in business and tourist areas, making it easy for international travellers.

As for visa requirements, always check the latest information with your local Malaysian embassy or consulate. Generally, nationals from various countries are allowed to enter Malaysia without a visa for tourism purposes.

Exploring Kuala Lumpur's Top Attractions

The iconic Petronas Twin Towers, the tallest twin towers in the world, is an absolute must-see. For history enthusiasts, Merdeka Square and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building paint a vivid picture of Malaysia's past. Nature lovers will enjoy the lush Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, while food aficionados should not miss Jalan Alor, a bustling food street boasting a wide array of local dishes.

Navigating Kuala Lumpur's Weather

Kuala Lumpur enjoys a tropical rainforest climate, where sunshine and showers can happen in the same day. Temperatures in KL usually range from 22°C to 33°C. While the city is ideal to visit year-round, the best times are from May to July and December to February when rainfall is minimal. It's advisable to pack lightweight clothing, a raincoat or umbrella, and comfortable shoes for city exploration.

Your Perfect Accommodation in Kuala Lumpur

Choosing the right hotel in Kuala Lumpur depends on your needs and preferences. For proximity to attractions, consider the Traders Hotel, offering a stunning view of the Petronas Towers. Food enthusiasts might prefer a stay in Bukit Bintang - known for its culinary scene, where the stylish WOLO Bukit Bintang resides. Near the MRT, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral offers great connectivity.

If luxury is your call, the Mandarin Oriental defines opulence. Budget travellers can look at Container Hotel, unique and wallet-friendly. Business travellers might consider the Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre, located near the business district. Instagrammers will love The KL Journal for its photogenic retro-chic aesthetics.
