I spent two nights here on this non-business visit in this 4-star comfort hotel, in early June just after Covid restrictions loosened ( staff still wore masks and guests were encouraged to as well, few did). This was my third visit here, and my first after the major remodeling that was finished last year. I booked a top floor ”mini-suite” (311), ( because that was all that was available for my datesm chosen five weeks before) with two sections: an extremely comfortable large bed for two with a small closet, bible, and TV in one section (no split in the middle of the bed as most German beds have), and another section was a mini-sitting area with two chairs, small table, and a desk, and another wall TV ( with limited stations, even in German). There was also an espresso machine, and a tiny fridge with some drinks. The windowless bathroom had a large tub and a separate shower. Bathroom amenities included not just shampoo but also conditioner, body lotion, kleenex, a hair dryer, wash cloths and soap (all except shampoo are hard to find in hotels in the area, most of which are 3 or less stars, as is a room with fridge). Everything was very clean, and the hotel has an elevator (rare in this area), quite welcome at my age and with my heavy baggage. Internet worked. The hotel is located near the ancient Maria Laach abby and across the local road from the pretty vulcanic Laach lake, which offers easy walks around it. The area is also convenient for excursions to other vulcanic sights of interests, walking paths, and historic structures, and is a half hour from the raceway Nurburgring. There is an upscale restaurant offering a limited menu of international food at dinner, for both indoors and outdoors dining, with very good service and a decent wine list (regional and otherwise) , and a pleasant cafe in a separate building offering snacks, ice cream, and cake is nearby, also with indoor and outdoor options. The complex also includes a sculpture garden, nursery, and a shop. It is not directly on the lake, but across a small road, easy walk. Negatives are: 1. Despite the recent remodel, there was still no air conditioning in my room. I guess it is just not a priority. So, during the day, my top floor 'upscale' room, with the sun beating on it, and also facing the sun, was stuffy and sweltering inside ( measured by me at 78) it was only 72 F outside and humid (it would be much worse if it were any warmer). It did cool off at night with open windows, but with no window screens, flys, mosquitoes, and 1 wasp considered themselves welcome. With windows and blinds shut, an odd sewer smell emerged. 2. My room, with its steaming heat, slanted walls and just 1 small high window in each room, was as noted overall unwelcoming during the day. But I also managed to bump my head on the walls three times in one day: once on the low ceiling when getting out of the tub (BTW the otherwise very nice tub does not have a grab bar, or ribbing, so is slipp

Geographically cheap house at the outcome of the Brohltal and near Maria Laach. Representative external assumption, which is rapidly disappointed by the real circumstances. The house is highly frequented by societies, weddings, etc. , the actual rooms are located in the southern economic buildings around a large indoor courtyard (see attached plan). Although there are about 12 parking places right before the entrance and about 20 parking places above an outer stairs below the castle is the parking situation is always difficult and you need to find a parking place in the residential area. The hotel is not a good hotel, but it is a very large room with a nice, empty and unconfortable views (see photos attached). Breakfast buffet is underclass, little fruit, no musli, no grains, two cheeses cheese, industrial croissants etc. Although up to 10.30 clock (Sa./So up to 11 pm, then the breakfast room is really breaking full) Refrigeration time is regularly pressed by the staff from 10.10 hour, ”whether you can deduct”, ”whether you can already air” and ”whether you can just clean up ...”. No, all in this price segment is simply not possible.

A hotel of original design, from the extent of the common rooms and spacious and comfortable rooms, the luminous environment, the hospitality of guests, I am not going to extend myself, since I have spent a single night in this structure and I have not had the opportunity to explore its characteristics better. You can buy natural products, food and non-food, choosing from the wide exposure. The staff, who has anticipated the breakfast time by half an hour, is available to us to consume it without any hurry before we leave. A young, gentle and smile staff. I only have seen, unfortunately, the SPA. That is why my review is titled.

Fortunately, we could gather a public parking place right in front of the hotel and unlock a 24-Stunden-Buchung parking watch. For the narrow entry to the hotel garage as well as a parking lift system is inappropriate for our ”family kitchen” (experience!). Comparison with the reception staff quite ”holpig” lack of sufficient German knowledge from their side. A card for rooms and hotel outdoors (the only way to get into the building from the specified evening time) that was given to us was not opened. Rooms were good for our ”demands” (astonishing for this hotel category -＞ refrigerator available for cooling things to bring with itself) Breakfast: Quark for Musli I missed and unfortunately only the highly sugar-containing finished cereals find. Ergo prefers to give up immediately. Because the seabream or seabream seems not suitable for the other foods I asked what this was meant to do... With the word seabream, the “breakfast service” could not start anything. So I asked if this ”ingredient” was thought of ”salmon”. Then I was told that the salmon was out (about 9:30 / breakfast is probably in the “layer system” after we were asked when we arrived, in which “time window” we are looking for breakfast). Very irritating - we could directly observe immediately before that a not half-full plate with salmon cut was carried into the kitchen. Would the staff intend to “safe” this sweetness exclusively for the breakfast (even that we could have observed)?

As with most hotels in the B&B chain, you don't come here for the unique and colorful ”ye olde worlde” experience. But it is an absolutely fine place to stay if you're in transit (as we were) or in need of a less expensive room. We walked to the hotel from the train station - took about 15 minutes. The location is actually near the middle of this small historic town and all sights are within another 15-20 minutes walking distance, but as you approach, it feels like it's right at the junction of a busy highway. Two big roads near the hotel and the railway line. Has a real motel vibe actually and lots of carparks...highly recommended if you're driving through, we would assume. Room was functional and staff were friendly. A lot of things are automated, including a snack and drink machine in the lobby and automated check in and door keypads, but everything appeared well maintained. At one stage, we lost/forgot our room code and the lady we had to call later at night (after reception closed) was very sweet and helpful despite it being our mistake. Room was small and basic with modern decor. Very clean, comfortable enough and we had no problems with hot water or anything else. Left for the early train and didn't experience breakfast. Would say that, like many other B&B hotels in Deutschland, this is a great place for a quick stop. If you're wanting to experience Koblenz, a cute historical town, for longer or sample German culture, you'll be better off elsewhere.
