The Verandah

This hotel has nice rooms and an amazingly friendly staff and has the perfect location in Ao Nang. All this for a reasonable price, which is not often the case anymore in Ao Nang. They have their own agency for booking tours and transport to other parts of Thailand which makes sure that everything is well coordinated between the hotel and the transport companies. All in all a place I will certainly come back to when I’m in Ao Nang again.

Krabi Town
A friend who has lived in Krabi for 30 years recommended The Greenry to me. I was considering booking on Riley Island and enjoy the beaches (at 2000 to 3000 Thai baht per night). That rins about 60 to 100 usd per night. So grateful I stayed her in Krabi Town. I have gone to Ao Nong beach 3 days in a row. The resturants are great along the beach. I can walk, bike or grab a (Rot Thaw) which is so cheap. The back of it has side seating and it is about 50-60 baht (about $1,50 usd) If you want to go alone than its more. I love this place. Nothing fancy but the owner Bang speaks English and they have a great staff. There is an elevator and stairs for their 4 floors. There is no iron or blow dryer. Bring your own. They do not serve breakfast but from what I can see, they must have before Covid. Have grace as these hotels get back on their feet. I paid 500 Thai baht per night. That's $15 per night. The rooms are a good size. There is lovely outdoor tropical seating/tables and chairs to sit under ceiling fans. It's worth it! This may be my regular place to stay. Lot's of highly rated restaruants and cafe's in walking distance. Very Covid safe and Sha approved!

Krabi Town
This hotel is really cute and they have the best hook ups for transportation and tours. They really don’t pressure you either. My friends booked at the blu monkey nearby, a new 4 star hotel in town, and the front desk couldn’t be half assed to help arrange anything, but everyone I talked to at the front desk here was helpful and arranged an easy ride to Railey. When I wanted to go to Ao Nang, they even suggested the bus or grab instead of taxi. The rooms are clean and basic, though tbh there’s some wear in the paint and such. Still a great stay. Bed was soft.

Ao Num Mao Bay
When I arrived at the hotel, I found my location strange, I was really far away from Ao Nang, it only goes on the bus, and then to come back only by taxi or tuc tuc, the beach it gives to see in front, and it should not be considered beach, because it is not. The hotel was empty (only I and my fellow) and they had no food to serve dinner, but there are at least two supermarkets very close and some local restaurants. The breakfast is 6/7 options if I am not wrong, there is no variety. I loved the pool. I loved the staff. Although they don't know how to speak very well English, they were always very helpful. They asked me if I wanted to change my room because of the noise, because they were cutting trees from the side of my room, and despite the location, the pier is right next, which makes it easy to travel to other islands. It is a very quiet and good place for anyone who wants to rest, and for anyone who wants to feel the tourist swim, then you must look for another hotel in the center of Ao Nang.

Krabi Town
We were on our backpacking holiday in all kinds of hotels. From 2 - 5 stars. In principle, this hotel has been the best enjoyed. Extremely clean, extremely cheap (11 Euro per night) and extremely nice owner :). In the centre takes about 20 minutes. You don't necessarily have seen, but on the way there are beautiful locals full of indigenous. Fried Rice with Seafood for 50 Baht.

First of all, let’s talk about the important points. It is far from the city. It takes 20 minutes to drive to Ao Nang Night Market. The hotel charges 600 baht for a taxi. The tuk-tuk ride back is about 300 baht. A trip to the 711 hotel will cost 800 round trip. If not Simply choose your hotel carefully. Second, the sea water and beaches are very poor. Many branches on the beach have not been cleaned. The hotel provides kayaking services. After 10 minutes of sliding on the sea, I lost interest in looking at the sea water. Third, if you don’t have a toothbrush or toothpaste, remember to bring your own. Fourth, you can order breakfast, which includes fried rice, eggs, starch sausage, sandwiches, and fried noodles. It is quite rich, and since there are few people in this place, you don’t have to worry about running out if you arrive late. Fifth, there are few people. I estimate that there were at most 10 rooms available during the few days I went there, and there was no one in the swimming pool. Those who want to stay in the hotel with their children can consider it.
