Had a fantastic experience! The room was spacious, clean, and tidy. I could enjoy the beautiful scenery outside the window right from my bed, and feeding the fish from the balcony was a real treat. The entire resort is worth exploring. The wooden cabins offer free activities, and I heard there's another beautiful view after the tide goes out. The day tours are also affordable. Looking forward to my next visit!

Nice place, though the family room comes without a TV. The owner doesn't provide much activities or entertainment here after dawn, except maybe fishing. There are a few occasional power cuts throughout the night. For a price that is considered very affordable, It is okay for a 1 night gateway from the city.

Okay, I stayed here, the room was clean, not too noisy… will repeat again soon 😊😊 by the way, it was a twin seaview room hehe, nice to enjoy the breeze on the balcony.

I stayed at Gayang Friendly Homestay for 3 days and 2 nights, and honestly it was such a peaceful and unforgettable experience. The room had an amazing sea view, and one of my favorite moments was waking up every morning to the calming sound of the ocean with the beautiful mountain scenery in the background. The atmosphere here feels very relaxing, quiet, and close to nature. I also spent time fishing during my stay, and something truly special happened every day — jellyfish would gather right under our room! Since the homestay is built over the sea, it felt magical watching them gently move through the clear water below. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway in Sabah where you can enjoy nature, sea views, fishing, and beautiful scenery all in one place, I would definitely recommend this homestay. A perfect place to heal, relax, and slow down from busy city life.

The outdoor scenery was nice, but the room facilities were a bit old. It's also quite remote, so it's more convenient if you're driving. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was included, which made for a unique experience.

Pros: Unique location, low price, got an upgrade to a better room than booked, monkeys, crabs, fish, and birds running around nearby, good Wi-Fi, free parking, on-site restaurant, pleasant staff, no city or road noise. Cons: Isolated location, nowhere to go and nothing to do, very run-down and needs a complete renovation, everything looks bad and dirty at low tide, sewage drains into the lake, karaoke can be loud on weekends, thin walls so you can hear other guests.

1. The room is basic, the bathroom is a bit small, and there's no TV. 2. There's a restaurant available, but I chose to eat at a nearby local eatery. The eatery was simple but had a good variety of food, and the cooking was quite tasty, especially the chili sauce.

Check in and out was smooth. Staffs are readily available. Room is spacious and clean enough. Altho it’s kind of shaky especially for plus size. Not sure about the open windows style make me feels like privacy.. if you’re travelling with kids not recommended since it’s kind of rocky.

The environment of this hotel is so lovely; it reminds me of my childhood. Our house used to be near the mangrove forest, and it brought tears to my eyes as I reflected on my life's journey. I'm so grateful to Allah SWT for the aroma of the mangrove forest and the sound of mangrove fruits falling on the roof at night, which would startle us and make us laugh together. The calls of night birds flying by, and the unforgettable moments we had as a family searching for clams and mangrove crabs... Mashallah, thank you Allah SWT, thank you Rasulullah SAW, for still giving me breath to revisit the nostalgia of a difficult life.

I had an amazing experience at this place. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the overall cleanliness was impressive. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. The location was perfect, and the view from my room was absolutely stunning — one of the highlights of my stay. Everything about this hotel felt high-quality, and I would definitely come back again. Highly recommend! CHEAP AND WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
