Neptune Luxury Resort
4.5/575 Reviews
We stayed here one night at the end of a holiday in Kalymnos; to help with ferry and flight timings. Arrival was at check in time and the lobby was fairly empty. Our room had been prepaid and was a deluxe sea view. Sadly Neptune fell flat - I guess we’d been spoiled at the Kantouni Beach but this was neither sea view nor deluxe (check out their rooms if you want both these things and more). To be fair, you can just see the sea if you don’t mind the 10 foot pampus and other trees in the way. It was otherwise ok. The air con was set at 20, not far off what we heat our homes to in the UK. We wandered back up to reception and asked if we could have the room temperature lowered. The response was fairly brusque with the male receptionist telling us that was it 20 and would only ever be 20 and he kept repeating this. I asked for a fan. Not a huge ask in a ‘luxury 5 star hotel’ but it seemed to annoy. We left, unsure of what we would get. After a little exploring and sampling our (very welcome) ‘welcome drink’ we returned to our room to a note with a sesame biscuit. There was no fan and I was about to ring reception when my husband discovered the air con had been chilled down to 16c. A good result but why tell us it was set at 20 and could go no lower if that were not the case? You can request a lower temperature at reception, but it is on an individual basis. Dinner was in the Asian influenced restaurant and whilst it was all undercover, it was open to the elements so very warm and stuffy but he food was good, tasty and well presented but nothing out of the ordinary. With check out set for noon, we had some time by the adults only pool which was really nice. Returning to our room to shower and leave for the airport I realised the hairdryer was not working. It was fine for 10 seconds then seemed to stop. I called reception and advised them we were checking out at noon. They promised to send the electrician. He never materialised and I continued to dry my hair with 10 seconds on, 1 minute off hairdryer antics. I got there but it was painful. A couple of points to note, the shower - a sort of wet room - would not drain of water and the drains had that really awful smell. You do get used to it but it’s rather grim. The floor of the whole room was sticky and with damp towels on the floor after our shower it was clear it wasn’t clean when they went very black and grubby. Housekeeping take note. Wash the floor, don’t just swish the dirty water from one end to another. Upon checkout (same member of staff who was intent on a 20c air con standard) we were told the electrician had called but our ‘do not disturb’ sign was on our door. Not so, but I really couldn’t be bothered as I was never going to convince the staff member. Why didn’t he knock? Because he didn’t come. Overall, this is an ok resort, I wouldn’t want to stay here very long (or again). It was mostly German guests and did feel like a glorified Butlins. It cer
White Rock of Kos Hotel - Adults Only
4.6/556 Reviews
Well what can we say, it certainly deserves its 5*. From booking to arrival was spot on (thank you Senka for your helpful emails). We stayed first in Kardamena and asked the hotel to collect us (for a fee), Yiannis the driver was really friendly and helpful. There were cold flannels and a soft drink with desert to welcome us. Receptionist Marioulla was friendly & professional. We were blown away by the room - big comfy bed with towels shaped in to a love heart decorated with fresh flowers, wine & fresh fruit with a ‘happy anniversary’ note. Bathroom huge, separate door to a toilet within. There is a mini bar (advise you check on arrival as we found a bottle half full so we reported that to avoid being charged) we removed some of the drinks to be able to store our own. Balcony was excellent, large hot tub, sofa, 2 chairs and table, not overlooked, there was a pool suite below us so that was overlooked by us. You can request the golf cart to pick you up at anytime to deliver you to the pool or restaurant (very steep hills). We got a ride to the tennis court at the bottom of the complex where there is a dirt track to the main resort/beach 5-7min walk, you’ll feel like you’re trespassing on some houses and Panormitis studios but if the families are sat out they wave hello. The main pool is long and sunbathing area a good size, George on pool bar was very efficient, as soon as someone exits he tidies the beds, it tended to get very windy in the early afternoon. Breakfast & dinner is served inside, if not windy they slide open the windows otherwise it’s A/C and I found that chilly. Good breakfast options, staff are attentive, quick to respond & friendly. Meal choices were good and not as pricey as we expected for this hotel. We had a couples massage which was excellent value for money. Overall we would love to return and have made a note of the rooms we’d like (the one we had being #1 choice). All staff deserve a pay rise they all work long hours and always with a smile. This is a hotel to fully relax at without rushing all over sight seeing. We spent 10 days in Kardamena to do various trips and came to White Rock for 4 nights to fully rest. If you’re not able to manage the steep dusty walk down the track to the resort then we recommend you hire a car to visit other places. We recommend Sykaminia bar at the bottom of the hill and Jim Supermarket.
Kipriotis Maris Suites

We ended up here after the sister hotel we had originally booked at had some kind of issue, but its an absolute relief we did! This hotel is amazing, it offers an incredible room, everything you could want and need right there in the resort, and only a €2 bus ride away from Kos Town. Reception were helpful, the bar and restaurant staff were lovely, and we had a brilliant time.
Grecotel Kos Imperial
4.1/546 Reviews
Stayed at this lovely resort the last week in October '23, just days before they were due to close for the season. Read all the reviews and am delighted to say the property exceeded our expectations. So much so that we joined the loyalty club and are hoping to try another Grecotel next year. To address a few comments in other reviews that had us wondering about our choice prior to staying:-  1 ”It is classed as a 5-star and is not a 5-star”. IMO this is the difference between resort and hotel rating - it is not a 5-star hotel and would be a 4*+ hotel but is a 5* resort the difference between ratings accounted for.  2. ”The buffer is poor quality and to be avoided.” When only comparing against all the other restaurant options available you can say it is not as good but the food choice is vast for the buffet and good quality & value. Ideal for families. Tried all restaurants and enjoyed all. Was very surprised how much I enjoyed the Asian/Greek. Best to book all prior to arrival if you can. It is not cheap to eat and drink unless you take the Luxme package! 3. ”Rooms are dated and not clean.” - In our experience in a room in the main hotel with a sea view the room was fantastic! Yes it has soft pillows and bedding where I prefer hard but my wife loved it for a change. It was very clean and cleaned every day. Massive TV, AirCon, large bed with views we sat enjoying the view with Nespresso every day.  I was proven right the view was SO worth it :) Things I would recommend after my stay... - Book accommodation with a sea view it's amazing. - Luxme is well worth it if you like your food and drink - I got a high quote from reception but got a lower one from the customer services manager so call asking for her maybe!? €80pp for lunch, dinner, Afternoon Tea, refill Nespresso, room drinks and all cocktails/bar drinks! Even better value if you have kids under 12yrs. - If you like sea swimming buy/bring the swimming shoes as the stones are just too difficult to walk on and can hurt your feet. - Beds at the poolside are padded but not by the sea so pick which you want early on. Is a pitty not padded near the sea but if they were might never leave. - A taxi is a little less expensive than bus transfer. - Cycle into KOS one day is worth it as is Bus into town - less expensive dining but also has a few sights nice to see. Best memories - like sitting in a glossy holiday magazine picture every evening. The View from almost every location. The weather in late October 26C and sunny. The dining experience in all restaurants. The friendly and very attentive helpful staff. The bedroom with the balcony and the sea view.
Pelagos Suites Hotel & Spa

What can we say that hasn't already been mentioned about Pelagos Suites! This was our second stay of the year and our 5th stay overall (that tells you in volumes how much we love this place) Stayed in one of favourite rooms, Junior Suite with shared pool, with the bonus of stunning views across to Pserimos and Kalymnos, and a short trot to breakfast in the Italian restaurant. In summary excellent food, excellent service, excellent location! Quick name check to Marina ( see you soon x) and Fatma ( we won't mention the sun loungers!) See you all again in June oh and September, love to all. Jackie & Rupert xx
Kos Divine Hotel & Suites
4.4/548 Reviews
We stayed at the divine suite for a week in June and had a wonderful stay. On arrival there were food and drinks ready in an arrival room which was amazing since we landed very late. We upgraded to a suite with access to the roof bar and it was well worth it. The drinks (included with the suite) were lovely and we enjoyed the atmosphere on the roof. The cabana beds were first come first served and people tended to stay there all day. So was sometimes difficult to get a space as we often wandered in the mornings. The hotel pool and area was lovely, but we were disappointed to find we could only have inclusive drinks on the roof, so if you wanted to swim or have a sunbed when the cabanas were full, you had to pay. The suite its self was stunning and huge! With a separate lounge to bed room. Plenty of space and the aircon was quiet but powerful. We did upgrade to a sea view which was beautiful but there is a main road out front. It didn’t bother us and we barely heard it. The gym was lovely, it was open to public, but never got too busy. Had plenty of equipment, better than a lot of hotel gyms! The staff were fantastic. Especially the team on the roof who were so nice and always kept our drinks full. We ate on the roof a few times and the food was exceptional especially considering the price was so reasonable. It’s in a great location on the front, with a nice distance walk to the harbour. When we got a little lazy we rented the little scooters which we could leave just outside. We would definitely return if we came back to Kos. ❤️
