We chose this hotel based on reviews. We didn't book in advance, as the trip was unplanned. It was our first time on this island, and we weren't sure which beaches were best. We decided to pick an inexpensive hotel with a good view and then visit each beach separately. Upon arrival, we realized we had made an excellent choice. LOCATION. You couldn't ask for a better location. It's so close to the pier that we literally walked there with our suitcases in 4 minutes. The two nearest beaches are a 10-15 minute walk away. We thought about renting a scooter but quickly realized we didn't need one. There are cafes, main restaurants, massage places, and, most importantly, a 7/11 nearby. We only went to the pier once to catch a shared songthaew to Ao Prao beach for 40 baht per person. (On the way back, a songthaew acts as a taxi for 250 baht for two, which took us back to the pier). We were worried that being so close to the pier would mean smells from ferry fuel, dirt, and noise. But in the end, there aren't many ferries, no real noise, and the only smell is the sea. The cicadas sing louder! 😄 HOTEL. We had room 10. An excellent room. Yes, it's not brand new, but for the price, it was more than decent. Every morning, we woke up and enjoyed the sea view right from our bed. There's a hammock on the veranda – definitely lie in it! We sat on the veranda at night, and there weren't many mosquitoes or gnats; we didn't even need repellent. Closing the doors provided a little sound insulation. I particularly appreciated the drying rack for clothes and the abundance of hangers in the room. There were glasses, mugs, a kettle, a safe, and a hairdryer. The mattress, pillows, and bedding were all fine. We got one towel per person. CLEANLINESS AND HOUSEKEEPING. There isn't daily room cleaning as such, but they change towels daily, and replenish the gel, shampoo, toilet paper, and tea/coffee sets. If you go out, leave your used towels on the veranda, and when you return, you'll find fresh ones in a bag on the table. For the trash can from the toilet, also place it on the veranda, and they will empty it. Hot water was available 24/7. We really loved this hotel. After returning from the beaches, the scenery visually changed, and we simply enjoyed the beautiful view from our window and the sound of the waves. And, of course, you can't escape the cicadas. We recommend this hotel. Our recommendation: Make sure to walk a little further past this hotel; there are also lovely swimming spots there with no waves.

The hotel is a house with two rooms. The rooms are a bit small but have everything you need. The view outside the room is amazing; sitting on the balcony, watching the sea, and eating is very comfortable and chill. It's very close to the pier and also to the 7-Eleven near the pier. You can walk to the main street. The room air conditioning works great, there's a fridge, and it's clean. They don't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste but offer plenty of hangers. No deposit is required for the room. At night, there are some very old, large dogs around. If you're afraid of dogs, don't book here. Dog lovers will be very happy; if you feed them, they'll wait by your door, which is very cute.

This little detached house with a sea view for just over 200 baht is amazing value! Open the window and you're greeted by the sea. You can hear the sound of the waves right from your bed or while sitting on the balcony. The beach is right outside the door, perfect for watching sunrises and sunsets, and even catching crabs. My kids had a blast! It's super convenient, just a one-minute walk from the pier. Saikaew Beach is less than a 10-minute walk away, and there's a 7-Eleven and restaurants within a two-minute walk. The room is tiny but has everything you need; surprisingly, the bathroom is more luxurious than the room itself. Overall, it's clean, comfortable, and the staff are very friendly.

We chose this hotel based on reviews but made a mistake. We prioritized the main feedback which mentioned peace and quiet, which was important to us. However, this place is near the port, so there was constant noise around the clock, though less at night. We'd wake up at 5 AM to the awful hum of boats. We stayed in cabin 17. If you still decide to stay here, I'd advise booking a cabin as far away from the port as possible. I have no complaints about the hotel itself; it offers good value for money. There's hot water, clean linen, a comfortable bed, and the air conditioning works well. There aren't enough bedside tables, but there isn't much space for them anyway. You can use the wardrobe for storage. Power outlets are scarce, as is often the case. The view is absolutely stunning, pure bliss. And be sure to bring mosquito repellent; there are a lot of them here.

The room was clean with a nice sea view and a very convenient location near the pier, but it feels quite old and there were quite a few mosquitoes, which made it a bit uncomfortable at times.

The bungalow is a bit old but has been newly renovated, which is great! From the outside, it might look a little dated, but once inside the room, I was very satisfied. It's clean, smells good, and has an unobstructed sea view. It's just a short walk from the pier. I recommend staying here and renting a car to explore the island, because some places that cost 2,000 baht or even 3,000-4,000 baht don't offer a sea view like this.

The room is only a 3-minute walk from the Koh Samet pier and faces the sea. It's clean and tidy. Even though it's close to the pier, it's very quiet and the views are beautiful. Enjoying breakfast by the sea was so pleasant. It's about a 10-minute walk from the room to Diamond Beach and the central area. On the way to Diamond Beach, there are various restaurants to choose from.

Amazing waterfront private room — we couldn’t have asked for a better setup. The view was beautiful and made the stay feel calm and refreshing, especially during a layover. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, giving us plenty of privacy and a great place to truly rest. Staying here with my brother made the experience even better, and we both really enjoyed the atmosphere, the service, and how easy everything was. Overall, it was an excellent stay and a perfect choice for travelers looking for comfort and convenience.
