Kochi Green Hotel Harimayabashi

Kochi|1.16km from downtown
We used it on a trip to Kochi. ● Good point It was within walking distance to kochi station. There is a distance to the Hirome market, so it will be accessed by tram. If you work hard, you can walk, but it's a bit far. There is a smoking room, so smokers can stay with peace of mind. You can make a pre-reservation at the time of booking. There is free wifi. Depending on the floor, it seems to be wired, but the radio room was assigned. Wifi is a speed that is no problem even if you look at the video. There was a free umbrella lending. Suddenly, it was saved because it rained. The front desk is 24 hours corresponding and there is no gate limit. There are restaurants near the cherry blossoms, and convenience stores are close. ● I was worried The wall was very thin, and the sound of the outside car and the sound of the next room were rounded. It was a level that can be clearly understood to the voice. The wall is lined up with Toyoko Inn. The cherry blossom room key is not a card key, so one by one, the key must be left at the front desk. When I received, I had to tell the room number and full name, and it was a little trouble. The carpet in the cherry blossom room had long hair left as it was. I feel that the carpet cleaning is not enough. Amenities such as cherry blossom shampoo are minimal. The quality is never good, so it is better to bring people who care. The sound of the ventilation fan in the bathroom was very big. The front desk did not grasp the location of the bus stop. Naturally, there was no concierge, so I had to check it myself. It is an average business hotel. It is better not to expect excessively, but if you have stayed in Toyoko Inn, it is easy to understand if you think it is equivalent level.

Auberge Tosayama
4.4/511 Reviews
We were in the area to tour Kochi's sights and sounds, and while Auberge Tosayama is about a 45 minute drive from the city, we had our own car and felt that relaxing in a remote oasis would be better than staying at a bland, large hotel. After staying at this retreat, we felt that we made a good choice. It's a stylish small resort (only 16 rooms total) that blends in nicely with its mountainous surroundings. It has a mostly earthly tone in muted colors that really soothed our soul and made us feel one with nature. The reception area has floor-to-ceiling windows with great views of the lush greenery and rolling hills all around. Our Villa was accessed by crossing the river via a suspension bridge (it's sturdy, not to worry) - an interesting way to get to the room without it being too far to be an arduous task. The Villa itself is one of a few that on the other side of the river, and each are detached units that are reminiscent of a mountain hut. The Villa was tastefully furnished and well appointed. While we generally prefer larger rooms with bedrooms that are separate from the living room, the junior suite-style layout was adequate. Two nits to pick, however. First, no Onsen (natural hot springs) bath in the room, as is the case with many top-end ryokans. Secondly, internet speeds were terrible... that is, if we could even get connected (it was intermittent.) While I understand that the purpose of staying in a place like this is to unwind and disconnect from the civilized world, it would be nice to have the option to get online should we so choose. Oh, one more thing... the nearest electrical outlet is FAR from the only table in the room; we borrowed a long extension cord, but even then, it was literally a stretch for the cable to reach my laptop. At least they have a communal Onsen, which is gender segregated (like 99% of public ryokan Onsen baths) and offers both an indoor and open-air bath. It's not very large, but given the small number of rooms on site, it's doubtful that you'll have to share it with too many people, save for late afternoons (just before dinner) and late mornings (after breakfast and just before check-out time.) Auberge Tosayama's supposed calling card is its food offerings - after all, it has ”Auberge” in its name. We enjoyed the meals, and it's probably as good as it's going to get in Kochi. It won't be on our ”10 best ryokan meals” list, but it doesn't have to be. Not everything was spectacular, but there were a few memorable dishes. The Foie Gras ”Joyo Mushi” was a dish consisting of Foie Gras mixed with grated Yam that was steamed into a ball shape, topped with Uni (Sea Urchin) and doused with Ankake sauce. Even the simpler dishes, including a salad that contained locally-sourced vegetables such as Komatsuna (Japanese Mustard Spinach) and Japanese Turnip was excellent. We were in Kochi after all, so we really wanted to try some of the indigenous dishes... and Auberge Tosayama did a great job introducing us to many lo
Kochi Ryoma Hotel

Stayed at GW for 2 nights. I searched and stayed at a hotel with a parking lot on the premises. The parking lot is on the 1st floor of the building, but if it is full, you will be directed to another nearby location. When I checked in late with a medium-sized motorcycle, they moved the car on the 1st floor and let me put it between the cars. The carriage porch at the entrance on the 1st floor is also covered, and the road in front is not so wide, so it is convenient for unloading people and luggage. It is convenient because it is within walking distance to the station and the downtown area. The staff at the front desk were all bright and cheerful and very pleasant. The room is reasonably spacious and clean, except that the washbasin is small and difficult to use. There are a lot of comic books and a piano in the lobby, giving it a unique atmosphere, but overall I thought it was a good value for money hotel.

We stayed overnight on the tour. Lack of communication between the hotel side and the travel agency! Only the number of guest rooms was informed by the tour operator, and a smoking room was assigned to me, who was smoke-free. There is a similar thing in the previous word of mouth, and there is no willingness to improve? The room door and window were opened, and the wind was blown for a small hour, and the deodorant spray was blown to the katen, and the deodorant and the air cleaner were operated all night, and it was scattered 々. For smokers, it is delighted when there are few rooms where they can smoke, so if you tell the tour operator not only the number of rooms but also the side dishes of smoking rooms and non-smoking rooms, you can adjust in advance. Also, the equipment is conspicuously old. The toilet in the guest room is a small unit bath and the entrance from the dirt floor, so it is troublesome to wear geta before going, so just put a crossing snowcoat to solve it! The tatami mats feel dirty even if they are rubbed and cleaned. The seat surface of the chair is also conspicuous. The breakfast venue was also vacant, but there were few people and I was waiting for the cleaning.
Dormy Inn Kochi
4.2/544 Reviews
Stable dormy quality. The highlight of the breakfast is the seared bonito that can be enjoyed with two types of salt and ponzu sauce, but my personal recommendation is the pudding. Dormy's pudding is delicious, although it's not available everywhere, so be sure to give it a try. The location is about 15 minutes walk from Kochi Station, but it is close to the downtown area and there are no problems with restaurants. The famous Hirome Market is also just a short walk away.

Breakfast is very delicious and volume is good. The room felt a bit old and there was no outlet next to the bed, so I felt a bit inconvenient, but the cleaning is well done. It is convenient because the Yosakoi market is within walking distance and the tram is nearby. The parking lot is a little far away, so it is wet without an umbrella in rainy weather. It was good to bring coffee next to the front desk back to the room. The bath used a 720 yen super hot spring in a little far away, so I don't know, but it was a very warm hot spring. I think it is a relatively good hotel in Cospa.

The Suidamakan in the new building where I stayed was very good. It was new so it was beautiful, and it was good that the room was large and the toilet and bath were separate. When I entered the room, the heating was working and I was happy to be considerate of the boiling water in the pot. I was also relieved that the flowers were decorated. However, it is a pity that it was a futon laid on tatami mats instead of beds even though it was a new building built last year. The military chicken pot for dinner was delicious. I was happy that local food was lined up for breakfast. However, the distance to the large communal bath was far away, and there was no wall in the crossing passage from the new building, and it was cold (because it was raining), and the floor was wet and it was difficult to walk. It was a relatively satisfying inn.
