Bolgatty Palace & Island Resort

Everything was really good.

The location of Bolgatty palace is superb. But the staff attitude and hospitality is not good enough. We can really feel the lack of hospitality.

Was here for the first time ever recently, after missing out during my earlier trips to the city. Traditional ambience, with lovely views of the water & the lit up buildings in the distance. Built by the Dutch, this property is apparently the oldest Dutch palace outside The Netherlands.

Excellent, that's it. Luxury at its best. Definitely a must stay property in cochin. Location and views are awesome. Rooms are soo luxurious and very spacious. Pool, restaurant and sea side areas are must try.

Second time staying here, and found it to be a huge mistake. The property is beautiful but sadly is in need of a lot of maintenance and upkeep. Stray dogs roam in and out of the property freely, and the staff is indifferent. The Marina annexe has great views but that’s where it ends. It is perpetually in darkness, and I was the one switching the lights on every evening on both the first and second floors. The rooms are musty and worn out, and the bathroom had the wet cloth smell throughout our stay. The so called entry/lobby of the Marina building is badly maintained, furniture is left askance, no staff, reminds me of college hostels in remote villages. The service room is left open all the time and we get a lovely glimpse of all the mattresses and sheets strewn about on the floor ***** with sundry bits of trash. The beautiful Dutch bungalow is dirty, smelly and the previous events leftovers, dishes, juice boxes and remains lay spread all over the veranda of what is supposed to be a heritage building. Breakfast service was appalling. There weren’t enough chairs inside so we were collecting chairs from outside and bringing them in, while the hotel staff person stood there silently watching us. When we suggested to him that they could help us at least with organising chairs, he said the hotel staff is less 😱. No plates, food was less, we didn’t even bother placing any orders for eggs as it didn’t look like anyone was interested in taking them or whether there would be any hope of seeing our orders. Staff is polite but appears to be mainly focused on attending to politicians or govt guests. Ironic and sad that paying guests are left to attend to themselves, while public servants get waited on like royalty.

Located in a huge area in an island with ancient palatial buildings. The palace suite rooms are spacious with a sitting room, balcony, very big wash room, dressing area. Very pleasant staff. The surroundings are worth spending for lesiure during the day and evenings with lots of traffic in the water around. The food quality and service in the restaurant are not upto the mark. ill recommend for a one time experience.

A huge palatial estate having a mini golf course and a tiny swimming pool. Had visited the hotel early in the morning for "Buffet Breakfast".Breakfast timings was from 0700-1000 hrs at the " Pearl Spot Restaurant" and although a 3- Star Hotel had the ambiance of a 5- Star Hotel not to forget its rare history in modern 21st century Kochi. The main original Palace has been converted into guest rooms .The view of the surrounding island's of Kochi is spectacular from Bolgatty Island.Got a close-up view of the flotilla jetty and spotted a expensive catamaran parked among the boats. If visiting Kochi don't leave without a visit to Bolgatty Palace and Island Resort. Unbelievable serenity and natural beauty.

Excellent hotel and spacious rooms. Extensive parking space and excellent food options. Wide choice of convention halls for funcions with separate halls for having food and beverages. Nice scenic spots for photo shoots and functions. It's on the lakeside, so unbeatable ambience.

On July 17th I visited this property ... it is a beautiful Heritage property with an huge lawn and location.. well maintained by KTDC ... Being in travel Industry I recommend those visiting kerala for a luesure or honey moon trip must stay ... Staff is very much Co operative Thanks Jai M***ti Holidays and KTDC for arranging a visit.
