The location is great. Cross the street one way and you are in the old town, cross it the other and you are in the museum and lots of great shopping. Some innovative ways of helping look after the environment, for every day you don't require your room to be cleaned you get a voucher for the bar. My room looked over the terrace, which could get noisy - not unpleasant noises, just music and people chatting, but distracting when you want to sleep. I would stay here again.

Fortunately, we could gather a public parking place right in front of the hotel and unlock a 24-Stunden-Buchung parking watch. For the narrow entry to the hotel garage as well as a parking lift system is inappropriate for our ”family kitchen” (experience!). Comparison with the reception staff quite ”holpig” lack of sufficient German knowledge from their side. A card for rooms and hotel outdoors (the only way to get into the building from the specified evening time) that was given to us was not opened. Rooms were good for our ”demands” (astonishing for this hotel category -＞ refrigerator available for cooling things to bring with itself) Breakfast: Quark for Musli I missed and unfortunately only the highly sugar-containing finished cereals find. Ergo prefers to give up immediately. Because the seabream or seabream seems not suitable for the other foods I asked what this was meant to do... With the word seabream, the “breakfast service” could not start anything. So I asked if this ”ingredient” was thought of ”salmon”. Then I was told that the salmon was out (about 9:30 / breakfast is probably in the “layer system” after we were asked when we arrived, in which “time window” we are looking for breakfast). Very irritating - we could directly observe immediately before that a not half-full plate with salmon cut was carried into the kitchen. Would the staff intend to “safe” this sweetness exclusively for the breakfast (even that we could have observed)?

All in all, the hotel is good and barrier-free, but it also has a few minor weaknesses. We stayed one night in the hotel with our wheelchair sports group and had booked several barrier-free rooms, of which there are plenty in the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are completely barrier-free, clean and renovated, although unfortunately - with the exception of the bathrooms - they are completely carpeted. The beds can be pushed up, but unfortunately they are a bit too high for wheelchair users and, above all, they are surrounded by an arch and two pillars in front of them, so you can only get to the headboard with a narrow wheelchair, even if you move the bed. The sink in the bathroom is wheelchair accessible and the shower is at ground level, so it's well done. However, the toilet cannot be pushed over with a shower wheelchair and is much too high - absolutely incomprehensible. In addition, the towels have been placed on the top shelf, which wheelchair users cannot reach. The magnifying mirror is also inconveniently placed and cannot be moved. The staff are very friendly and helpful, which is a positive point. The restaurant and bar have a pleasant atmosphere and the breakfast is plentiful and good. The beer garden is large and beautiful. The hotel is beautifully located directly on the Moselle and a 20-minute walk from the city center and the Deutsches Eck. Free parking is available nearby. Overall, the hotel is recommendable with a few minor reservations, even if it is not very cheap.

I regretfully have to share my dreadful experience at this hotel. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I had made a terrible choice. The lobby was outdated and shabby, setting the tone for the rest of my stay. The room was a disaster. It was as if they hadn't been renovated in decades. The furnishings were worn and tattered, the carpet was stained, and the bathroom had a musty odor that wouldn't go away. It was clear that cleanliness was not a priority here, as I found hair in the sheets and mold in the corners. The staff were far from accommodating. They were indifferent to my complaints and seemed more interested in chatting among themselves than assisting guests. When I asked for help with my luggage, I was met with a half-hearted effort. The noise level in the hotel was intolerable. Thin walls and rowdy guests made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. It felt like I was sharing a room with the entire hotel. The breakfast they provided was an absolute joke. Stale pastries and watery coffee were the only options available. It was a disappointing start to each day of my stay. In summary, my stay at this hotel was a nightmare. It was a grim reminder of how important it is to thoroughly research and read reviews before booking accommodation. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
