"Finding accommodation in New York with kids can be a real headache. On one hand, hotels in central Manhattan are super expensive; on the other, the affordable options are often quite far from downtown. That's why we chose this place. I also wanted my child to experience a multicultural society. We booked a 12-person mixed dorm, and the guests were generally very respectful and quiet. There were no strange behaviors like smoking or eating in the room, which was a huge plus. Overall, we were very satisfied. The hostel has a very spacious common area and an amazing backyard, perfect for just sitting and relaxing. There's even a ping-pong table in the yard, and my son and I played a few rounds. The lobby also has a pool table that guests can use freely. For breakfast, you can either buy something in the lobby or head across the street for more options. All in all, it was a good experience."

"I do love it here, was really beautiful and nice hotel, my room is Hudson River view as in the pictures, so beautiful room. The staff at the lobby was so nice, she let us check-in early so we got some rest before starting the trip. I do appreciate that :) also you will get a lot of benefits that they gonna give you but unfortunately i didn't use it at all but next time we would stay here again and will use some of them. The location is really good, they have their own restaurant and also Starbucks is aside from there, got it every day. Highly recommend! :)"

"Very near the 9/11 Memorial and several subway stations. Room size was okay - for New York. Free purified water (with bottles) on all floors, and complimentary coffee and tea near the lobby. One negative feedback - the walls are quite thin. Could hear what the room next door was “watching on TV” and they were also loud at times. Other than that, it was a really good stay there."

"The hotel is located on 40th Street, close to Times Square and a subway station, making it very convenient for commuting. Breakfast is included and was quite good. The front desk service was excellent, especially Karen, who was very friendly!"

"The hotel has a very good vibe. Room is simple but clean, no any disposable items such as tooth brush, cotton pad, nor coffee pot. In the morning coffe service is very slow, take at least 10 minutes to serve a cup of machine-made coffee."

"We recently stayed at a hotel in the heart of New York City, and it exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect—just a short walk from the 9/11 Memorial and Battery Park, where we easily caught the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast, which was a great start to our days of exploring. Our room was spacious and comfortably accommodated three people without any issues. It was well-maintained and provided all the amenities we needed. One of the standout features was the $25 voucher provided daily for the minibar, which was a thoughtful and appreciated touch. Additionally, the area around the hotel had plenty of shops, making it convenient to pick up anything we needed or enjoy some shopping. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in downtown New York with easy access to major landmarks and excellent amenities."

"The cleanliness and comfort of this hotel raise significant concerns. During our room inspection upon check-in, we discovered someone's fake eyelash stuck to the wall and a stray strand of hair on the bedsheet. Clearly, the housekeeping was not performed meticulously. Furthermore, the air conditioning unit, situated right next to the bed, emitted loud noise and frequently switched between fan and cool modes, causing annoyance. The pillows provided were practically non-existent, being extremely flat and offering no support whatsoever. We also had to endure a constant beeping sound from the dishwasher, despite reporting it to the front desk and being assured that a technician would investigate—yet no one arrived. As a result, our rest was severely compromised. Adding to the inconvenience was, the room lacked a telephone, necessitating a trip to the front desk for any needs. Additionally, essential toilet amenities were absent, except for shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and a minuscule bottle of moisturizer. The absence of bedroom slippers was compounded by a dusty floor. It is perplexing how the hotel's website claims that ”Mint House combines the classic comfort of home and the modern luxury of a hotel...” considering these circumstances. Furthermore, with the exception of one female staff member during check-out and Joshua, who works in the fitness area, the front desk staff were generally unapproachable."

"Hotel room and amenities were good. But the staff was exceptional they were very helpful and accommodating our super early check-in. This is how hotel staff used to be, highly recommend. Location is within minutes of grand Central an multiple subway stations."
