"I had a wonderful stay at The Bayou Hotel and would definitely come back again. The location is excellent. Pantai Tengah Beach is only about a 7-minute walk away and Pantai Cenang can be reached in around 15 minutes on foot. Every Night are there Fireshows. Grab rides were also easy to get whenever needed. What stood out the most was the incredibly friendly and helpful staff. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed and assisted with my luggage. Throughout my stay, I always felt comfortable, valued, and genuinely welcome. The room was beautiful, clean(they cleaned everyday) and very quiet. I also loved the pool area and the lovely views. Every morning, two complimentary bottles of water were provided and upon arrival I received a nice welcome snack set. The room amenities were excellent as well, including toothbrushes, a razor with shaving cream and many other thoughtful essentials. I also tried the food at the hotel and really enjoyed it. In addition, complimentary drinks were offered, which was a very nice touch. The only minor issue was that the shower water was more lukewarm than hot. However, considering the warm weather in Langkawi, this was not a problem for me at all. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. The hotel offers a wonderful atmosphere, excellent service and great value for money. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended!"

"The hotel was lovely and we hardly went out. The room was large and very comfortable. Service was great. Food was delicious. We enjoyed the breakfasts and we really enjoyed having in room dining as an option at no extra cost. The room faces the pool and the restaurant so you do need to keep the curtains closed if you want privacy. The hotel is walking distance (for fit people) to Pantai Cenang. However, there were a few times we needed to take Grab instead. Give yourself a bit of time to secure a Grab driverbecause they take a while to agree to come to the hotel."

"We regretted only booking two nights; the place turned out to be fantastic, beyond all expectations. It's surrounded by nature, jungle, and monkeys running around, but they're not insolent – ​​they don't take your food (the main thing is to bring your breakfast home on time), so you can watch them. 🙂 This isn't a luxury villa, and yes, there are a few minor flaws, but it's so atmospheric, and the warmth they offer to their guests is incredible. Airport transfers are provided, and breakfast is delivered every 8am. Housekeeping was also provided. Incidentally, the internet worked better than in a hotel in the city center. Regarding the remote location, Langkawi is generally difficult to get around without a rental car or a taxi, so we didn't see it as a problem. We'll definitely return if we get to Langkawi again."

"I recently stayed at The Riyaz Lavanya Langkawi and overall it was a very pleasant and comfortable experience, especially for a couple trip. The room was spacious, modern, and well-maintained, with a highlight being the large bathroom and bathtub, which made the stay feel more relaxing and premium than expected. Everything was clean and well designed, giving a nice balance between comfort and style. The location is also very convenient. It is situated in Kuah, making it easy to walk to nearby dining spots. One of the best parts was being within walking distance to Orchid Ria Seafood Restaurant, where we enjoyed fresh seafood at reasonable prices. There is also Latitude 6 Degree Cafe nearby, which is great for coffee and casual meals. The hotel itself feels calm and suitable for relaxation, not overly crowded, and ideal for travellers who prefer convenience and comfort over a busy resort atmosphere. Overall, this hotel is a great value stay in Langkawi, especially if you enjoy spacious rooms, good bathrooms, and easy access to food options."

"The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful; they even upgraded our room to one with sunbeds and a terrace for our honeymoon, which we greatly appreciated. The hotel is new and clean, and the breakfasts are decent, offering everything you'd expect for a European breakfast (omelets, cheeses, fruits, pastries – all good quality). The hotel also has an excellent spa that I highly recommend. They have a separate bungalow for massages with its own bathroom, shower, and terrace. The prices are reasonable, and the massage was superb (and I speak from experience). There are two fantastic, new tennis courts at the hotel. The beach is clean and spacious, with easy entry into the water and no big waves, making it perfect for families with children. The hotel also caters to adults with an 'adults-only' pool area (a quiet, lovely spot with a good menu). The staff there are responsive and attentive. Highly recommended!"

"We booked the hotel with beach front, but the beach is inaccessible, there is a lot of mud. Location was near from the airport, but far from the downtown. No nearby restaurants. We rented a small car, 100 MYR per day. But you can get it cheaper from other car rentals for 70 MYR per day. Hotel structure is good and steady with room space. But poor hygiene, door and furnitures were not cleaned at all. Breakfast was kind of limited, we had to eat same food everyday. If you need a chill place with quiet area, this is the place."

"This place actually is more than just a motel as we know. When we arrived we were surprised to see how big that tiny house inside with a comfy bed, a large table, a kitchen equipped with a microwave, a fridge , a sink, an electric kettle, kitchenware: plates , forks, bowls and and plates, a bottle of dish cleaner. We used our kitchen corner mostly for cooking cereals for breakfast. There’s also a kitchen for common use with stoves , pots and pans near the managers office if someone feels like cooking lunch or dinner. The bathroom is small, together with toilet, the shower gel provided by management, no toothpaste or toothbrushes. In the patio one may find two chairs and a table , clothes hangers as well. The motel is located about 1 km from the Main Street Pengtai Cenang and 1.5 km from the beach, but it’s easy to rent a bike for MR 40 a day and the manager will help you to arrange all the formalities. The receptionist is a very kind and friendly person, always ready to help you if needed. In general, the motel is great place for people who came to chilax closer to nature, looking for peace and calm, away from noise and rush. It’s a great experience of accommodation, without luxury and room service, but full of warmth and positive emotions… something unforgettable. Stay cool!!😎"

"The hotel has a classic, traditional style, and there's a small parking lot at the entrance. They offer scooter rentals for guests, and the overall atmosphere is very relaxing. You can step directly onto Cenang Beach from the courtyard. Aside from the room being a bit small, the cleanliness was excellent. There's no private fridge in the room (you have to use a shared one at the front desk), but they provide a simple breakfast (toast, biscuits, coffee, tea). It's not far from duty-free shops and there are plenty of restaurant choices nearby. The staff provides service in Chinese and they are very welcoming. Recommended!"
