"We stayed here in early April, and overall, it was good, with a few exceptions: 1. I didn't like the view from the window (though maybe this isn't an issue for some travelers, as the room is just for sleeping). The windows were low and faced someone else's yard, so people walking by could easily look in. 2. The sink was tiny with no shelves, and of course, there were no photos of this when we booked (this is very important to me as there was nowhere to put my toothbrush or cosmetics). 3. The regular shower didn't work, only the rain shower (and it was never fixed the whole week). They did move us to another room, but then moved us back to the original room just before we checked out. 4. There was no water in the cooler all week. Every day they promised to refill it, but it only came on our last day. Initially, they gave us bottled water, but then said they ran out, so we had to keep buying water, which was very inconvenient.
Now for what was good: On our second day, they moved us to a different room upon request, where everything worked and there was a large sink 👍🏻. The location is excellent, almost downtown, with many cafes, a canteen, restaurants, and bus stops nearby and across the street. The large Dostyk Plaza shopping mall is also right across the street. The female administrators were polite and tried their best to help with everything, so a special thank you to them 🤗. The hotel itself is small, with rooms like little studios, cozy and well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, slippers, toiletries, towels, a TV, coffee, tea, and sugar."
