Hotels with Kitchenette in Kyoto

"The hotel is a 7-8 minute walk from Kyoto Station, with a convenience store right next door. We stayed during the summer. While waiting for our transport at the main entrance, there were so many mosquitoes! My child got bitten 6 times instantly, which was incredibly frustrating. I then noticed two or three on my own hand. The sheer number of mosquitoes was very off-putting, especially since we didn't encounter any while shopping in the Kawaramachi area in the evening. I'm not sure why there was such a difference. The room itself was quite spacious for a Japanese hotel. They offered late-night snacks in the lobby. Unfortunately, there was construction going on nearby, so we were woken up early by the noise. Otherwise, it was pretty unremarkable, with a standard star-rated hotel decor."

"The room was excellent, with comfortable bedding and a spacious layout. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, which is a bit uncommon for Japan, but the space was still decent. The separate washroom area was practically laid out and spacious. The front desk staff were very patient. The male staff members were bilingual (Japanese/English), and the female staff members were also bilingual (Japanese/Chinese), making for a quick check-in process. The lobby on the first floor was quite spacious, providing a good spot for a temporary rest. They offered complimentary sugar-free beverages (available until 9 PM or 9:30 PM) and there was an ice machine. The location was also excellent. It's about a 7-minute walk to Sanjo subway station, and close to the bustling Sanjo and Shijo districts, roughly a ten to fifteen-minute walk away. You can also walk to Yasaka Shrine, which takes less than half an hour. I didn't pay much attention to what was around the immediate vicinity, and I was a little disappointed that there weren't any major department stores nearby, but since my stay was short, it didn't really impact my experience. Finally, a few minor points for improvement: The bathroom walls weren't tiled but rather made of plastic panels (a minor detail, not a big deal). Also, the number of washing machines and dryers was too limited – it seemed there was only one or two. Overall, I was extremely satisfied. If the price is right on my next visit to Kyoto, I would definitely stay here again."

"The room is well-equipped, clean, and hygienic. There's no room service, and you have to self-check-in (if you're bothered by this or think you can't manage it, don't book). The surrounding environment is quite nice, located in a quiet alley. The location is excellent, 500m from Keihan Main Line Sanjo Station and 700m from Hankyu Kawaramachi Station. It's very convenient to walk to Yasaka Shrine, Kamo River, and Shijo shopping street. Walking to Kiyomizu-dera and Ninenzaka is also not too far. There are many restaurants nearby, and overall, they feel more 'authentic' than those on Shijo shopping street."

"Great Location and Comfortable Stay The hotel is in a good area — only about 4 minutes to the nearest station and around 20 minutes’ walk (or 7 minutes by car) to Kyoto Station. We walked everywhere, so the location wasn’t a problem for us. The room was clean and had a washing machine with detergent provided. You can request a towel change in the mornings if you like. Check-in and check-out are self-service, but there’s someone available to help if needed. The windows don’t open, but the air conditioning works perfectly, so the room stayed comfortable There’s also a water dispenser at the reception, so you can refill your bottles anytime. Overall, we were happy with everything and had no problems during our stay."

"A very satisfying stay at this B&B. The room was very clean. Although it was not big, it had all the necessary facilities. There were two beds and a sofa bed. There was a staff at the front desk on the first floor, so it was very convenient for us to check in."

"We booked a triple tatami room. As is typical for hotels in Japan, the rooms are quite compact, but we could conveniently store our luggage in the entryway. The bathroom was also small but absolutely spotless. The Kamo River is just a stone's throw away. A big plus is that the front desk staff speaks Chinese, making communication effortless. There's a coin-operated laundry facility on the first floor. Takashimaya department store is also within a short walk. If you go before its 8 PM closing, you can snag some great discounted food items from the B1 supermarket – excellent value!"

"We didn’t use much service so cannot really rate it. But the room is nice and new and staff is nice. The area is quiet but it is 7-10 mins walk to convenient stores, station. Not much shopping close by and only a few restaurants.. We enjoy the roominess and amendities, fully kitchen and washer/dryer."

"This hotel is very close to the Kamogawa River and Sanjo Shopping Street. It's about a ten-minute walk to Shijo Kawase-cho, near Takashimaya. You can also take a bus there, boarding at Sanjo Keihan-mae. There's a restaurant near the hotel that specializes in Daikichi Yakitori, and we always go there every time we're in Kyoto. It's delicious, and the all-you-can-eat meal for two of us cost just over 200. I think the best thing about this hotel is that you can cook. It's wonderful to buy some good ingredients and eat them at the hotel."

"I booked this place because the price was good and there weren't many other options available with a kitchen. Upon checking in, I noticed the kitchen cabinets looked a bit dated. The most inconvenient aspect was the AC unit's placement; it blew directly onto my head, making for a very uncomfortable first night. I managed to alleviate this slightly by adjusting the deflector the following day. Transportation-wise, it's a bit far from the subway station, requiring a 10-15 minute walk. Housekeeping primarily assisted with daily trash removal."
