"Seriously, this hotel is incredible! On the second floor, there's a fantastic complimentary bar with drinks, including some alcoholic options. You can even take your drinks to the terrace, which boasts exquisite landscaping and stunning views. The front desk staff was not only super handsome (a Western guy!) but also incredibly friendly and helpful! Our room was extremely clean and very spacious. The washing machine was another great feature and worked flawlessly! Absolutely perfect!"

"The room is very beautiful and more spacious than most hotels, with great value for the price. I like how they furnished it in light tones, which makes the room feel brighter. Moreover, the view is amazing 👍 - you can wake up and see Kyoto Tower directly from your window. Note: This is a self-service hotel. Amenities such as cotton buds, slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste sets, etc., are provided on the 1st floor."

"The room was excellent, with comfortable bedding and a spacious layout. The bathroom didn't have a bathtub, which is a bit uncommon for Japan, but the space was still decent. The separate washroom area was practically laid out and spacious. The front desk staff were very patient. The male staff members were bilingual (Japanese/English), and the female staff members were also bilingual (Japanese/Chinese), making for a quick check-in process. The lobby on the first floor was quite spacious, providing a good spot for a temporary rest. They offered complimentary sugar-free beverages (available until 9 PM or 9:30 PM) and there was an ice machine. The location was also excellent. It's about a 7-minute walk to Sanjo subway station, and close to the bustling Sanjo and Shijo districts, roughly a ten to fifteen-minute walk away. You can also walk to Yasaka Shrine, which takes less than half an hour. I didn't pay much attention to what was around the immediate vicinity, and I was a little disappointed that there weren't any major department stores nearby, but since my stay was short, it didn't really impact my experience. Finally, a few minor points for improvement: The bathroom walls weren't tiled but rather made of plastic panels (a minor detail, not a big deal). Also, the number of washing machines and dryers was too limited – it seemed there was only one or two. Overall, I was extremely satisfied. If the price is right on my next visit to Kyoto, I would definitely stay here again."

"We booked a triple tatami room. As is typical for hotels in Japan, the rooms are quite compact, but we could conveniently store our luggage in the entryway. The bathroom was also small but absolutely spotless. The Kamo River is just a stone's throw away. A big plus is that the front desk staff speaks Chinese, making communication effortless. There's a coin-operated laundry facility on the first floor. Takashimaya department store is also within a short walk. If you go before its 8 PM closing, you can snag some great discounted food items from the B1 supermarket – excellent value!"

"One of the best hotels I’ve been so far! I would come back for sure ! The services are kind of unique and entertaining ( movie projections, books to read, cocktails to try). The staff was very kind and helpful. One lady was especially welcoming and took her time to explain everything to us in perfect English . The location of the hotel is very good as well. Many restaurants nearby. Make sure to ask the hotel to book a seat at a restaurant for you since most of them were fully reserved and you don’t want to be rejected at the entrance because of that. Great experience overall ."

"The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a short distance from major attractions such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Sanjusangendo Temple. A bus stop conveniently located right outside the entrance provides easy access to all parts of the city. Our room was equipped with amenities like an in-room washing machine, a dedicated drying space, and a microwave, which was perfect for our family trip with children. We would definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Kyoto."

"Located in a quiet residential area, it's much more suitable for leisurely travelers compared to the Shijo area. The room facilities are quite complete; it has everything you need. It's very convenient to visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kyoto National Museum, and Sanjusangendo Temple from here, which can be done in a day."

"The hostel is really close to Kyoto Station, about a five-minute walk, and there are supermarkets, malls, and plenty of restaurants nearby. They have check-in guides in Chinese, the entire hostel feels quite new, it's clean and tidy, and there's an elevator. The common area even has a Nintendo Switch. Plus, you can store your luggage for free after check-out."
