The Puyuan Fashion Resort-Meishang Resort is one of the newest hotels in Tongxiang, having opened in 2023. In terms of transportation, Jiaxing Railway Station is approximately 18km away. Traveling to and from the railway station is easy with Jiaxing Railway Station located approximately 18km away. With multiple attractions nearby including Fushan Temple, Puyuan Center Square and Boat Tour in Puyuan, guests will find plenty to keep themselves occupied. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.
"Let's start with the positives: The hotel is located within the scenic area, and it's the No. 1 hotel there, truly grand and luxurious! The butler service was attentive, and the front desk staff were polite and professional. The room's cleanliness was good, and it had double sinks. If you enjoy soaking in a bathtub, avoid the corner rooms – they are very spacious but lack a tub. Upon arrival, take some time to understand the hotel's layout and pay close attention to the elevator signs for smart usage. The luggage check-out service was excellent; the mini-program was easy and reliable to use, and for those driving, luggage goes directly to the parking garage. Breakfast was rich, and the Chinese pastries were delicious.
Now for some minor drawbacks: The room has a walk-in closet, which is great, but there's no hanging rod in it. The hanging rod in the main wardrobe is a bit low, causing clothes to be crunched. The showerhead is a bit small, with few water outlets.
Areas for improvement: It might be due to ongoing construction on the road in front of the visitor center and surrounding areas, but the parking signs are unclear, and the road surface is messy (this might be an issue with scenic area management). Although there are shuttle buses, they are infrequent and only go to the visitor center. After guests check in, they have to wait for a second shuttle to the hotel lobby, which is also infrequent and shared with other scenic area visitors. We decided not to wait for the buggy since the hotel wasn't far from the visitor center and opted to drag our luggage ourselves. To our surprise, the scenic area has flagstone paths with uneven stone steps, and the hotel's beautifully designed surroundings are paved with gravel, which was exhausting. Perhaps the hotel could offer luggage check-in services similar to check-out.
The dishes at Meijing Chinese Restaurant were unremarkable and crudely presented. The ambiance and service fall far short of a five-star hotel standard; there were no wet towels, no tablecloths, and the tables were greasy.
Finally, if you want to fully enjoy the scenic area, staying inside is the top choice, and Meishang is still a worthwhile option. I'm writing all this in hopes that the hotel and scenic area management will continue to improve."
