"Loved this hotel! The room was spotless, and the breakfast spread was particularly impressive. They even upgraded our room for free when they saw we had a child, and the sofa easily converted into a bed. The front desk staff, especially the handsome gentleman, was super friendly and provided excellent service. We had a really pleasant stay! Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, the front desk also provided complimentary bottled water and snacks. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in Hangzhou."

"We stayed in the twin room. It was spacious and bright, and had ample room for us to sort out our luggage. The beds were firm and clean. The bathroom door couldn't close fully, so some spillage was always inevitable. Air conditioning was powerful. Front desk staff and service were amazing. We received help with our taobao parcels, plenty of bottled water (as well a water dispenser) and a room change as the first room we were allocated had a damp smell. The room window was unfortunately looking across to a plain wall, so it was more of an airwell. But it also meant absolute privacy. Note that the hotel is slightly inside a walking lane, so taxis will have to pick you up a short distance away."

"Before arriving, I read quite a few reviews and honestly had some concerns. I had initially planned to book two rooms, but due to a mix-up and booking late, I only managed to secure one. With a 'what-the-heck' attitude, I called, and Ms. Shao Linfang from the reservations department answered. She said she'd help me confirm. Although I couldn't get the second room, she was incredibly responsive, upgraded my existing room, and even arranged for a fruit platter. She also proactively asked if I needed children's amenities, which were prepared and ready in the room, along with a mini-bar. It truly lives up to its reputation as a seasoned five-star hotel; the overall service standard is consistently excellent. Crucially, the hotel's location is superb. Wulin Night Market is right downstairs, and West Lake is just a 10-minute walk away. This was incredibly convenient, especially when West Lake's traffic restrictions made it impossible to get a taxi. The buffet breakfast also offered a good variety. I was very satisfied with the accommodation on this trip. A special thanks to Ms. Shao!"

"We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The owners were very warm and friendly, easy to talk to, and gave exceptional recommendations about what to do in the local area. The rooms were comfortable and well-appointed, with good views from the windows. There was a free washing machine that we used to wash our clothes, which the owners helpfully showed us how to use. Additionally, free tea was offered at all times, as were fresh bottles of water every day. Furthermore, the hotel was within easy walking distance of the West Lake, allowing us to spend every evening walking around the lake and enjoying the scenery. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to all those wishing to stay in Hangzhou. The next time that we visit the city, we certainly will stay here again."

"We struck gold when we found Hefu Hotel in Hangzhou. It is a beautiful inn with a traditional exterior and modern interiors. The surroundings are so peaceful, yet West Lake is just 15 minutes away on foot. We picked the Family Courtyard View Room with 2 bedrooms. Perfect size for our family of four. Spacious unit with a dining room. L'Occitane toiletries are provided, and the twirling shower massage is a great feature! The dining area crosses a living room and library, so much so it feels like home. Breakfast is made to order and a different main course is featured every day. Dinner is by reservations. We didn't know, but the staff accommodated us when I said the kids were too tired to go out again for dinner. We could even place our order, returned to our room to shower and rest, and then the kitchen called us over when our dishes were ready! For our second dinner, we were invited to ask for anything we wished to eat, even if the dishes were not on the menu. So, we order 3 from the menu and requested a light fishball soup and steamed egg custard. What a wonderful, heartwarming meal of homemade simplicity! Service is attentive, and I dare say will rival that of international 5-star hotels in big cities. When my boys couldn't wake for breakfast, staff prepared takeaways for them. When my 10yo said he preferred western breakfasts, staff prepared wagyu sausages and bacon for him the next 2 mornings! I asked about laundry service, and staff said they would take care of it for free! The night before departure, I told them about my difficulty understanding directions to my next hotel in a restricted heritage area. While I had dinner, the staff made calls to help me plan my way over and booked us a large vehicle for us and our suitcases. Hefu staff even managed to get my butler from the next hotel to connect with me on WeChat! We were so well taken care of!"

"Considering the hotel has been around for so many years, it's normal for the facilities to be a bit outdated. However, I personally think the hotel's service is impeccable. The customer service staff patiently answered my questions about local tourism, and housekeeping was very proactive in offering water and daily cleaning. Especially one night when the bathtub was leaking, a technician came to check it out very quickly. Overall, it was excellent, and I would definitely stay here again if I have the chance."

"This B&B is located next to the Hangzhou Botanical Gardens, a villa community with a pleasant environment and convenient shopping and dining options. The owner, a woman from Northeast China, is very kind, welcoming, and attentive. The waitress was also very friendly and the room was cleaned promptly. "The trip started off rocky as there were smokers next door who openly smoked while having the doors open to the hall way. We had to deal with this for a couple of days and after complaining to the management a few times, Miss Tina Zhou came to the rescue. She helped us move rooms and made sure we were comfortable and really made our trip much more pleasant. We ended up staying for an extra week. Areas of improvement: 1. The breakfast was below average, execution on the food is poor 2. The gym smelled like cigarettes often as the staff working there would smoke beside the gym (please have him smoke outside when he is on break) 3. The pool change room was often unclean and untidy and the ground was extremely slippery and dangerous 4. The pool smelled like sewage at times This hotel is more of a China 4 star than a 5 star. If it wasn’t for Ms. Zhou, we would not have had as comfortable of a stay. A special thanks to the cleaners, who were polite and did a great job of cleaning and accommodating our schedules."
