"The first room I got with smell cigarettes smoke heavily. The second room I got smaller than the first one. The shower between head and pipe is leaking.  Was happy to hear that washing machines are free but the dryer was never dry. Washing machine is okay."

"It was a great experience. If you think the courtyard houses in Qianmen Mandarin Oriental and Wangfujing Waldorf are too expensive, come here to experience it. Dongsi No. 78 Apartment built by Jinyu Group is well-equipped, with Samsung's washer-dryer kitchen, refrigerator, etc. Even the TV is Sony brand, coffee machine, oven are all equipped. This time I booked a European-style one-bedroom with a small yard. It is very pleasant to open the balcony door and look up at the stars at night. The service of the little brother in the front hall is great, and he will respond to any request! There are Chinese and European breakfast sets to choose from, and the toiletries are from Ferragamo, which is great!"

"The serviced apartment is located in the Wangfujing area, but it's tucked inside a quiet and somewhat isolated hutong. While this provides a more traditional local atmosphere, the location can be inconvenient. The hutong is quite narrow and often congested, making it difficult for Didi drivers to access easily—though they can eventually reach the property with some delay. Walking out to the main road or nearby attractions like Wangfujing Street also takes some time, so it's generally easier to travel around by Didi despite the occasional wait. The hutong itself is dimly lit at night, with little to no street lighting, which might feel uncomfortable or unsafe for some travelers walking back late. The room was clean and comfortable, though it lacks soundproofing—you can hear people talking or walking outside quite clearly. On the bright side, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We did encounter one issue where a staff member entered our room despite the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door. After we gave feedback, they responded promptly—the staff member came to our room to personally apologize and offered a small hamper and late check out till 6pm as a gesture, which we appreciated. Overall, it's a decent stay if you're looking for a quieter, more local experience and don’t mind the less accessible location and occasional noise."

"Recently stayed at this hotel and the experience was excellent. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the city center, convenient transportation, surrounding dining, shopping, entertainment facilities are available. The rooms are spacious, bright and well equipped, and the beds are soft and comfortable for a good night's sleep. The bathroom is clean and equipped with high quality toiletries. The hospitality and friendly staff make you feel at home, both at the front desk and in the room service."

"We recently stayed for 3 days at this hotel as a family with an infant and while the overall stay was pleasant, I feel compelled to share some important points that made our experience fall short of what we expected from a five-star establishment. To begin with, we had booked a Premier Suite, anticipating a top-tier experience. Unfortunately, several issues left us feeling like we were staying in a three-star hotel at best. * Cleanliness was disappointing — the floors were visibly dirty, and when we wiped them with a white towel, it turned dark. Photos attached clearly show the level of cleanliness we encountered. * The room showed noticeable wear and tear, with interior elements feeling aged and in need of refurbishment. Some parts felt like they hadn’t been updated in decades. * On our last night, the bathroom light could not be turned off, which made it very difficult to sleep. With our baby already asleep, we couldn’t call anyone to fix it without disturbing her. * The spinning chair in the room looked stylish but made loud, unpleasant noises, making it impossible to sit and relax in peace. * Several power sockets (about four) were not working, which was frustrating — especially when we tried to make tea or charge devices. We had to use inconveniently placed sockets instead. * A lingering smell of cigarette smoke was present in the room throughout our stay, suggesting the furniture and fabrics have absorbed it over time. * The female sauna was completely non-functional, which was a disappointment. * We consistently pressed the ”Do Not Disturb” button, hoping for privacy, but every time we left the room, it was cleaned despite our request. While it's nice that the room was cleaned, our preference should have been respected. * We also attempted to order food by phone twice, and our orders were never received. Whether this was due to a language barrier or other reasons remains unclear — but it was frustrating nonetheless. Considering that Sofitel is a well-established and globally recognized luxury hotel brand, you would never expect to come across such issues. All of the above certainly will influence our families and our friends future decisions when choosing Sofitel hotels . I want to stress that the stay overall wasn’t terrible — we enjoyed our time together as a family and had some positive moments. However, the above issues significantly detracted from what should have been a premium five-star experience. For the price and rating, we expected more attention to detail and basic functionality."

"What a wonderful stay! The breakfast was next level, with so much variety of Chinese and continental options to choose from. Different Beijing specialties are offered each day so you can try all the local street foods here at breakfast! Staff is very helpful and attentive, eager to ensure guests are well taken care of. I would not hesitate to return again."

"One of the loveliest lodgings I have experienced. The Orchid Hotel is a short walk from the bustling streets, yet it offers a peaceful retreat that feels like your own private oasis. The breakfast at either of their two restaurants is absolutely amazing! The bakery sells delicious bakes and they are hard to resist. The team running the lodging is a thoughtful bunch too. Knowing that I had to leave for the Great Wall at 6.50am, they made sure they had bakes and freshly brewed coffee for me to bring along for my day trip. The map provided by them is informative, thoughtful and extremely useful. Strongly suggest you take a good read and mark out the places you want to visit. Much appreciated Jihan and her team who have made the stay a very pleasant one."

"The B&B is in an alley. There is a large area of ​​trumpet creepers outside the house, which is already very beautiful. Walking into the main house is even more special. The owner must be a person who loves life very much. The green plants everywhere make people feel very peaceful and healing. The housekeeper is also very nice. Knowing that there are two of us, she made more breakfast for us. It was delicious, and there was also good coffee. Another question, the bedding was very good. It was the most peaceful night I slept in Beijing. Recommended, I will come again next time"

"The apartment we booked was a 2 bedroom unit on the 27th floor. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. There was a western style coffee machine and roasted beans. I needed some extra blankets and bedsheets for my family and they were sent to me quickly. Also, I wanted a late check-out as my train was in the afternoon. It was arranged quickly without any additional fees. Absolutely loved it and will stay here again when I visit Beijing next time!!!"
