Premier Inn Chessington

Clean and tidy. Meal deals are a good choice and free breakfast for children under 16 years old. Besides a good theme park. But a little bit far from train station.

Hotel seemed nice.. until we opened the room door and was overwhelmed with the smell of smoke! It was AWFUL! Also found a toe nail and chocolate on the floor! It was just dirty and needed a massive upgrade! Went to tell the receptionist and the gentleman on there was all by himself and seemed to be dealing with a lot! I asked to switch and was told there were no more rooms (expected as was busy) and didn’t want to kick off as we got there late anyway and he was kind and seemed stressed! I would not go out of my way to stay here again even though it’s right next to the park … I would rather stay in the one in the town centre!

The room was cleanish and main bed was good as expected, the 2 single beds were so lumpy and we found long black hairs in one of the beds, we had to double the duvets over for the kids as it was too uncomfortable,bathroom was so small and was unbearable. Not functional for families and the door pinches the basin so watch your fingers, we had 2 towels for 4 people, the decor was okay and staff were nice - parking a bit confusing as signs say you need to register or pay but staff gave us different information when asked inside. This is probably the noisiest PI we have ever stayed out and you can hear your neighbours clearly. However with all that said we paid £42 for one night and it was worth the value of this but no more, the beef eater next door was grim, the food was okay but staff were awful and had a really bad atmosphere - wouldn’t rush back there sadly. They all looked disinterested and sulky.

Stayed at premier inn for easy access to Chessington world of adventures. 6 people in total. Room was spotless and beds very comfortable. We had evening meals at the restaurant on 3 evenings and the food was always very tasty. Service was a little slow at times.

The room was a double with a pull out sofa placed into so they could call it a family room. There was absolutely no floor space which made it feel claustrophobic. The room door lock was not designed for a family with young chrildren as they could unlock it just by pulling the handle.

Hotel looking very run down. Could do with a renovation. Location is ideal for Chessington Theme Park but would maybe stay a little further away for a better night sleep. Room was full of mould. Ventilation fan in bathroom not working causing moister on bedroom ceiling and being dripped on at night. (Even having the window open in cold outside temperatures).

Good check in room very small but for one night it was fine good location as we had been to Sandown racing good dinner and breakfast at pub next door.other reviews said there was a bad smell in hotel and pub but we didn’t notice it.

On arrival quite our room had a pervasive damp smell. Only once fully unpacked and ready for bed did we realise it was due to a broken extractor fan and that the bathroom room was covered in mold. We were too tired to move rooms. The desk was on its last legs and about to fall apart and the pop up beds were really uncomfortable for our kids. The breakfast was good though although the poor staff were so undermanned that tables didn't get cleared in a timely way.

Staying here for just one night,to visit Hampton Palace,room6 really needs updating poor decor mould around Bath flooring in bathroom needs replacing poor around toilet,still a shame people can't shut doors quietly into the early hours,Beefeater next door smells of drains,poor service took forever.
