Rusutsu Grand Cabin Reviews

Great location, very easy to find and has a conbini only a few minutes on foot. The beds were comfortable and cozy, but the small was quite small and got really hot, really quickly when everyone was in their cubicles. Staff were friendly and the amenities were good. The hidden kitchen/lounge area at the back was great.

The private room (for 4 people) is on the ground floor and located next to the common area. It’s quite noisy at night.

If you are going to Rusutsu this is the place, clean and 10min away to the resorts, everything was great beside they don't have a kitchen for hostel guests but it's understandable coz there is a restaurant on the first floor. They do have microwave so you can heat up food from the convenience store.

For what it is, a cabin/hostel, it’s well done. The rooms clean, staff helpful. What makes this place stand out though is their sauna tent. At first I was in doubt how good this could be, but with the wood stove, the forest smelling steam, the resting areas and the cold pool, it made it actually one of the best sauna experiences in Japan. Seldom do you get to do your own Löyly like that. Not a lot in the neighbourhood though (in summer), so for us one night was perfect.

Great place to stay as a central base camp for skiing the area.

The place is very remote. The boss is good and the staff are good, but it is remote. It is so remote that I don't want to stay here anymore. It is inconvenient. I have already arrived at the hotel and told them that I am sick and need to go back. Can I get a refund? The boss refused to refund. It seems like a money puzzle. If I don't stay, you should at least refund some of the money. They refused to refund anything. Well, I can only give you a bad review to show your greed.

Staff speaks good English. Great for foreigners. Good starting point for excursions. Rooms are extremely noisy.

I have stayed here many times. There is a free shuttle bus to Rusutsu Ski Resort. Although it is a capsule, the space is acceptable. The disadvantage is that it is difficult to sleep if someone snores, but earplugs are provided. There is a yakiniku restaurant on the first floor, so sometimes the room smells a little bit like yakiniku. People who are afraid of strong room smells may have to think twice. There is also a drying room in the hotel. It is very convenient to ski and stay here

The hotel is about an 8-minute drive from Rusutsu Ski Resort, and the hotel provides 3 morning buses to the ski resort and 3 afternoon buses back to the hotel, which is actually very friendly to travelers who do not drive themselves. In addition, the hotel also has a laundry service for 300 yen per wash, which takes 30 minutes to wash. Finally, there is a Lawson 3 minutes away from the hotel, which is absolutely no problem for breakfast and dinner.

The overall feeling is very good and the CP is high

The boss is very nice. Even if you have trouble after your stay, he is still eager to help.

I injured my knee, but the hotel staff were very helpful to me. I was very touched.
