Harmony Inn - Glena House

The Inn was really nice and comfortable, and everyone there was very kknd and friendly

From start to finish a wonderful experience, the lady on reception was so friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotless and the beds were the comfiest I've ever slept in. A fabulous breakfast in the morning was served, I wouldn't hesitate to return.

This was my second time staying here the last time was about eight years ago. Very lovely receptionist really friendly and helpful. Check in fast got two card keys for my room. I paid €155 for the night including breakfast which I have to say was delicious, but the only thing that Les it down is the outdated decor of my bedroom. It just feels like you’re sleeping in somebody’s spare room. I remember writing the same thing in the last review in particular about a duvet cover and coincidentally it was the very same duvet cover this time, so it’s been hanging around a long time I have to say the cleaners do an amazing job the room and ensuite were absolutely sparkly. I couldn’t forward it at all. They were tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a hairdryer but the socket outside my bed was broken and did not look safe so it needs replacing or else covering I think with the amount of choice nowadays and everything has gone up so much in price you like to feel like you’re staying in a little bit of luxury for the night because this B&B is great friendly and great location. It doesn’t feel luxurious having said that it wouldn’t stop me going back .

Very nice spot. Gerry couldn’t do enough for us. Very helpful and kind. Would really recommend coming here. Gerry is very talkative and makes the stay more enjoyable and makes us feel like we’re at home. Beds are so comfy. Everything is so clean

Location is the only good thing about this B&B. The workers have a tendency to walk into the room for no reason. Woke up two mornings to knocking and a woman walking in asking if we needed anything. This was very inappropriate. The beds are also hard as a rock. Rooms could do with refurbishing and this particular worker could do with a refresher course in hospitality.

Very disappointed. I had stayed here around 5 years ago. I remember that it was clean, and the breakfast was good. Totally changed in October 2023. The rooms were tired. Badly in need of an overhaul. Some of the towels were frayed. I had booked a single room for myself, and a twin room for 2 friends - they were given a double bed with 2 twin mattresses. No space between. Not suitable, as one of them had a bad cold and wanted to be well away from her friend. I was given a room with 3 beds, so I swapped with my 2 friends. The breakfast was poor. Tinned fruit in a bowl. Limited cereals. Cooked breakfast only average. Coffee poor. One evening, a lit candle was left unattended at reception. Another guest was there, trying to reach the mobile of the person on duty, trying to arrange an earlier breakfast. No answer. I would not return.

Met on arrival by Lucia who was the main staff member I dealt with. She was very helpful with parking and was also very good at breakfast. It is budget accommodation, you get what you pay for. It was spotless, great breakfast, friendly staff. Great for a hiking weekend, near Carrauntoohil.
