Really lovely hotel, we will definitely be back. Staff were warm, genuine, welcoming. Really looked after us when we had a sick child during our stay. Room (family room) was spacious & clean, beds really comfortable. Love the decor. Breakfast was very good, especially the scones! Complimentary tea and biscuits by the fire topped off a lovely stay. A traditional music session was on in the bar one of the nights - really enjoyed that. Really handy location - right beside the town and only 2 minute walk from the train station.

Just reviewing Buckley's Bar, please ask one of your staff members.... guy with glasses, Thomas, to learn to smile ☺️ a little,..... not great customer friendliness "served"by him.....have always enjoyed here,..... especially Denis!! A bit more politeness Thomas!!

I cannot recommend the Arbutus highly enough. The location is central to everything. The staff are exceptional and go the extra mile. I forgot a toiletry bag and they went out of their way to get it back to me. The rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable! And breakfast was a delight… I will dream about that French toast for some time to come. Thank you for another exceptional stay in Killarney!

A very friendly and comfortable old fashioned local hotel. The room was small and cozy with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was updated with a shower/tub and was spotless. The biggest attraction is the friendliness of the staff, a lovely breakfast menu served with smiles and a great bar with good local Irish music every night. The location is perfect to explore Killarney with lots of restaurants within walking distance to include a fabulous seafood restaurant next door. This is a lovely place to stay in every way.

The Arbutus is a charming and quaint hotel with fantastic amenities and staff. Our room was so spacious with a king bed, sleeper sofa, two winged chairs and a writing desk. The bathroom was quite large with a separate stall shower and bath tub. Everything was immaculate. The front desk staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel so welcome. Kudos to Michelle and Ina and Emer and a great big thank you as well. Breakfast each day was a delight as were the servers- a special shout out to Lisa and Valentina. The bar was a wonderful perk - a spot we frequented each evening for the warm ambiance and fantastic Irish music. My husband and I were elated to have stayed at the Arbutus during our first trip to the Emerald Isle. Its location was ideal. I would be remiss in not thanking Sean Buckley and his family for keeping this gem of a hotel the way it is - a hotel near and dear to his grandfather who established it all Those years ago.

This hotel is spotless and gorgeous! Staff is so warm and friendly. Thank you Ina for helping us with our reservation and for being so flexible! The furnishings and decor and so lovely you feel like you are home. Beds are so comfy and it’s quiet and peaceful even though you are in the heart of Killarney! It’s 20 feet from the 3 best restaurants in Killarney. This is one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in ! Thank you Arbutus and can’t wait to come back!!!
