Kigali Serena Hotel

I really loved this hotel! The service quality was unexpectedly high, easily on par with the best hotels in Turkey. The standard room is quite spacious, with a large bed flanked by two nightstands and a daybed, a big wardrobe, a long desk with chairs, and an armchair with a coffee table – plenty of furniture for comfort. The bathroom has both a shower cabin and a bathtub; the only thing missing is a bidet or a hygiene shower. There's also a shelf for clothes in the bathroom. The cleanliness was exceptional, and so was the service: in the evening, a staff member comes to turn down the bed, placing slippers and a small mat (like a towel) beside it. Breakfast is served by the pool, either outdoors or inside. The buffet, in addition to standard dishes, offers three different salads, several types of cheese (including Camembert and Roquefort), 4-5 kinds of fresh juices (watermelon, pineapple, passion fruit, etc.). For fruits, there are two types of passion fruit, watermelon, pineapple, goldenberries, papaya, and even tamarillo fruits. Breakfast was exquisite!

The room was lovely, and the cleaning and service were excellent. Breakfast was also good. It was a mystery why there was a coffee machine but no coffee. The hotel shuttle costs $35.

The facilities are old and the dining area is too public. But other services are as good as before
