Brilliant stayvery comfortable spotless. Fabulous breakfast which you pre order. Easy walk into Keswick via railway walk . Parking at the property but need to leave keys in case car needs moving in our case was fine. Eldon is very friendly and will help with advice if required. We will be back for sure.

Eldon is a great host - great value and location, free parking and fantastic breakfast. Clean and tidy. 15 mins steady walk to Town.

NEGATIVES. Bedbugs .. and bites We have lots of bites on the back, legs, arms, head from sleeping on the bed. Dated furniture, not like the photos shown on booking sites Cold.. only has heating on certain times, and the bedroom heater doesn't work. You can use old hot water bottles or a dirty old blanket. How does this place have a 4 star AA review Small poo or blood stain on bed sheet Very creased sheets Too many rules see photos fruit for breakfast.. I'm not sure how old it was.. awful.. see photos. First time staying here and had an excellent time. Off street parking, convenient location, warm and comfortable room, tea and coffee available plus handy tea towel for drying washed mugs. Very comfy bed, plenty of storage and lovely views across to Keswick. Very good breakfast within a relaxed atmosphere. Craglands was full when we were there and seemed a popular choice for walkers, runners and visitors. I was celebrating my 60 th birthday and Eldon went above and beyond for me , my partner and two sons. I would highly recommend a visit here. Thanks Eldon for a most enjoyable stay!

I couldn’t leave this place fast enough. Room was so small you could barely turn around, and was not as depicted. Parking was a nightmare! Host was not happy that we were arriving at 9 (check in close), and made sure that we knew we had inconvenienced him. Earlier I had let him know it would be evening before we would arrive and he was fine. After a long day of mishaps, we decided to grab dinner before checking in, which apparently was not the thing to do! We arrived at 9 and were treated very poorly. Perfect ending to what had already been a bad day. Left at sun up and skipped breakfast so we wouldn’t have to interact with Eldon! Worst stay in our two week trip to Great Britain.

The proprietor was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine however the room was nothing more than a cubbyhole and not very soundproof. Was hindered by snoring and plumbing noises

I came to Keswick to see the Castlerigg stones, and i needed a place to stay that was within walking distance of them. I found Craglands online and booked fairly last minute, but I could not be happier with my stay. Eldon could not have been friendlier or more helpful when I was checking in, and the free breakfast was fantastic. The room was cozy and very clean, and the facilities were pleasant. I would stay here again!

Practical, well placed. Very friendly owner. Great views from the front. Good breakfast.
