I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When we arrive, we were suppose to choose between twin room or double room and there is no double room available and we were in advance. Then in the room, no shampoo, no soap, the AC was not working well and made a terrible noise even on sleep mode. An old elevator always busy so we had to carry our suitcases ourselves to the 2nd floor. They said a parking was available for the customers but it was full so we had to go park somewhere else. The food especially for breakfast was not good. The tea bags in the room were already open. And the cups were not cleaned (I let you observe the pictures). Apart from the bed being comfortable (but separated from my partner)and the view there was nothing that we have appreciated. Though, It’s not far from Corfu town by car about 15 minutes.

Definitely a 3 out of 5 stars for this hotel. The rooms were adequate. A bit cosy, we had no desk to get ready at. However we did have a mini fridge, so pro’s and cons. Our bathroom was okay too, but the shower area needs some work as it was prone to flooding quite easily. We were also had a phone in the room, which did not work due to the faulty electrics at the wall. The food was very disappointing. We stayed for an all inclusive for 5 days, and definitely would have eaten out more if it was within our budget. They have a small selection for the buffet, which was not under heat lamps so lost their heat very quickly, if there was any to begin with. They did have a microwave available to heat up your food. We also saw there was “2” restaurants, however when we got there, the other restaurant was no where to be seen nor mentioned on the information they give you at the desk. You can get discount at the cafe up the road if you stay at this hotel, but found this was quite expensive. Also, there was a lack of actual “Greek food”, there were no olives available in the basic salad area, and the pre-made Greek salad lacked decent ingredients. We also, had issues with ants being IN the orange juice machine. My friend had orange juice 3 different times that holiday and had ants in the drink every time, so was not a coincidence. The carbonara sauce, was extremely plain. The pool snacks, were very poor. It was always plain cakes, with either ham and egg wraps cut into slices, or the same sandwiches cut into 4 squares, on two silver trays. I would recommend stocking up on snacks from the nearest mini shop which is less than a 5 minute walk. The desserts on the other hand, were very pleasant and we all enjoyed these, would very much recommend the chocolate cakes with ganache! The location, as mentioned, is close to the airport. You can see the track from the pool area. This did make it very noisy for both inbound and outbound of planes, we noticed some days had 8+ planes and the next could be 20+ planes. Would not recommend if you wanted peace and quiet. However, we did find it quite entertaining watching them come and go. The terrace, was not open however it was stated on the website that it was. Again, we assumed this was down to weather, but we were not told otherwise. The hotel was separated into two, so we did cross a busy road to get to the food and the lobby, this wasn’t a huge issue for us but I would not recommend this hotel for families with young children, as they do zoom round those corners! The staff, were very lovely. I wish I had gotten more of their names to mention, but David and Melena (I believe this was her name, she usually ran the pool bar) were absolutely brilliant and always had service with a smile. They were very helpful and always ensured we had a good time. There was no entertainment for the evenings, and the lobby was not large enough for the amount of people staying, there was also a lack of sun beds. But put this

We had a lovely time at the Royal Grand hotel , the staff were friendly and helpful, we loved the lady at the pool side bar (forgotten her name) and David always smiling and wanting to have a conversation. We did book all inclusive for 6 nights however we ate at the restaurant twice as the food wasn’t great and was cold most of the time. Therefore we had no choice but to eat out which became a bit costly however there are lots of affordable restaurants a bus away. The views were outstanding and the local beach was quiet and relaxing. I would recommend the boat tour to Paxous Island if you’re coming to Corfu! You can ask reception and they’ll help book it for you. The rooms nice and the beds were comfortable - I did book a seaside room however we were on the main road , lots of coaches were stopping outside we could literally sea a bit of the sea through the trees so that was a bit misleading. However it didn’t ruin our stay and I would recommend this hotel for a nice affordable trip!

Upon checking the reviews weeks before coming I was a little concerned and in all fairness there's only one thing that keeps being mentioned that I can agree with... The food isn't the best, in fact it's pretty horrid BUT the mash potato is an exception, better than I can make at home and the ice-cream, I swear it's Carte d'Or in disguise .... That being the only negative for me, the hotel itself and the staff is outstanding, we were given a fantastic family room with views overlooking the pool and runway (which I requested). The girls on the reception are extremely friendly and helpful, always welcoming and say hello whenever you pass by. Our room was out of this world, spacious, clean and my bed was huuuuge, room for a family of 4 easily lol. My kids had a nice bunk with their own TV and balcony, Aircon in both rooms which was needed and a mini fridge to keep our drinks and snacks cold. The bathroom was nice, lovely shower and sink area and smartly decorated. All round, the room was spot on and the cleaner bless her was in every day to do the beds and replace towels. The pool area is okay, albeit some of the decking is wasting and rotting but nothing that isn't fixable and there is a lot of bee's and mosquito's purely because of the location next to the lake, can't be helped. It's a decent area around the pool, nobody really queuing early for lounges just a small handful going down at 9.30 just before it opens so no issues. The lady running the pool bar is very pleasant also. We will be back in the near future, the area around the hotel is beautiful with stunning views and there's some nice restaurants within walking distance to enjoy to escape the hotel food.

Having read some of the negative reviews I was apprehensive about my family's stay at the Royal Grand and whilst I understand some of the negative comments, they are totally overstated. This hotel is a perfectly satisfactory 3* hotel. To address the negative comments, yes the food isn't amazing but it also isn't dreadful either. We stayed all inclusive and whilst it wasn't mind blowingly delightful, it also wasn't awful. We had breakfast and dinner there every day but went out for tea on 3 of the nights. There was always something there to satisfy most people but please remember this is a 3* hotel, you're not going to get a la carte. We would definitely recommend Psaraki in Corfu old town for an amazing meal that is very reasonably priced though. The location is perfect with regular buses into Corfu old town. The closeness of the airport is not an issue, in fact it was very wholesome watching the planes land and take off with my 4yr old son, we loved it. The hotel may struggle with sun loungers once peak holiday season hits, there really aren't enough. 5 minute walk to a gorgeous little beach, overlooks Mouse Island and the most friendly staff you could hope for, you really can't ask for more for the price you're paying. We had rooms 117 and 118, they were cleaned daily and the beds were very comfortable. We were given a room to stay in on our final day as we weren't getting picked up until 22:20 and were still able to access all the AI benefits which was very kind of the reception staff to arrange. Please pay attention to the hotel information, this place is not appropriate if you have mobility issues. I heard a very hostile holiday maker being unnecessarily rude to reception staff about this when it does state it is not easily accessible for those with mobility issues. Finally, a massive thank you to Marianna and Davide, the pool bar and lounge bar staff, these 2 cannot do enough for you and have a permanent smile on their face. They truly are wonderful. Overall this is a better than average 3* hotel, with the best staff. You really can't go wrong for the price.

This hotel has the friendliest, most helpful staff, ready to accommodate every need. The beds are very comfortable, the location is lovely - right across from an overlook of the sea and the air*****! We were on a group tour in Corfu, and the hotel staff, especially the lovely women at the front desk, made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. For a short stay in Corfu (and just a few steps from the local bus stop in case you don't have a car), this hotel is fine!

We recently stayed at this hotel, being a group of 5 people. There are a few things that caused unpleasantness during our stay at the hotel. First of all, the hotel towels smelled of mold (as well as the room). I could not use them because the smell was imprinted on the skin. Also, the sheets were stained, smelled as bad as the towels and were changed only once in the conditions in which I stayed for a week. Secondly, if you still choose to come to this hotel, you should know that in the old building, the one overlooking the air*****, there is no hot water after 6 pm. We went to the reception 3 times in one evening, and each time we were told that it was a problem that lasted 30 minutes and that they would send someone to fix the water heater. That evening I stayed awake until 12 am and even then the hot water did not want to make its appearance. By the way, for 7 days I only had hot water in 2 evenings. The cleanliness in the room was almost non-existent, in the last days I wiped the floor with wet napkins. In addition, the ceiling in the bathroom and the ceiling were full of mold. Despite these unpleasantnesses, I can say that there were also some good things. for example, the lovely staff of the hotel, both in the dining room and at the reception. I can say that the food was ok, we had free wine, beer, juices and water. also, the hotel is well located, being close to a mini-market, a souvenir shop, the pier and the bus station. however, we would never return to this hotel, it's a pity for the view and the place where it is located... I think that the old body should be renovated from scratch, otherwise you will lose all your clients!
