GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Kelowna. Staff were friendly, swimming pool and slide were great for our 9 year old, free breakfast was fantastic! My only complaint would be that I booked a room with a king size bed saying it sleeps 4 (2 adults and 2 children), so I assumed there would be a pull out couch. There was only one king bed. So my toddler slept in her playpen that we brought along and my 9 year old had to sleep on the floor. I’m not really sure how one bed means you can sleep 4 people?  But we made it work and our stay was great besides that issue.

GGuest UserThe hotel was extremely busy, as it was a holiday weekend. The state of the hotel definitely showed an increase in volume and turnover. Our room, the entranceway, and the bathroom floor had white marks all over it. At first, it looked like a child walked into paint and then ran in and out of the room. However, with the smallest of elbow grease, I was able to remove most of the marks from the bathroom. In doing so, it looked more like dried oatmeal, but I couldn't be sure. My point is that it was impossible not to notice this mess and that someone made a conscious decision to leave it in this manner. They did this, knowing that it was a long weekend and that guests would be paying in some cases double what they normally would pay. At these prices, with taxes,fees, etc, we were over a grand for 2 nights. At these prices, you do expect the rooms to be in pristine condition. We had spoken to a staff member delivering towels to a nèar by room. He informed us that he would speak to his supervisor and that someone would be up shortly. At this point, it was late and we were at the end of a solid week of moving. We needed sleep more than anything. To the best of our knowledge, no one tried to reach us in regard to this issue. This is a beautiful hotel. However, more needs to be done to keep it that way.

GGuest UserI almost didn't book here because it appears to be a 1950s motel with fresh paint. That would have been a huge mistake. The location is perfect for wandering downtown and the parks by the lake. The room was bright, colorful, and one of the cleanest ever. I couldn't stop being amazed by the updates and upgrades, and all the bright colors kept me smiling. The color matched vw bus in the lot defines the character. I will choose Hotel Zed again over any of the boring up-scale or traditional places to stay in Kelowna. It's different, fun, and a great place.

GGuest UserWe had a great stay! The staff were so friendly and polite, and the hotel was very clean and tidy. The free breakfast was tasty, and the shuttle bus made everything super convenient — especially for visiting our son at UBCO. We stayed two nights and would definitely come back.

PPenelope JaneHotel is newer so feels fresh and clean. Our room and bedding had a bit of a stale smell, I asked to have the pillows swapped after the first night as I immediately noticed the “greasy” smell when I went to bed. Although they exchanged the pillows, the second set was no better so I sprayed them with some aromatherapy I happened to have on hand. Overall nice hotel, front desk staff could be more friendly and professional, but not a big problem.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay! Very quiet location and we especially enjoyed the lower level room opening into the beautiful grassy courtyard area. A short walk to the pool and hot tub! And the breakfast was simply delightful. All the staff were friendly and we would like to commend the fine, professional and helpful staff at the front desk - always a smile that made the day bright! Thanks so much!

MMikki LizThe front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The on-site restaurant is truly a hidden gem—both the food and drinks were outstanding. The only issue I encountered was with the air conditioning in the room. It was quite noisy, so I turned it off before bed to get a better night’s sleep. However, I woke up early in the morning to find it had turned itself back on and the room temperature had dropped to 18°C which was uncomfortably cold. I mentioned this to the front desk during check-out and the staff member sincerely apologized and assured me they would look into it. I appreciated the way the situation was handled. And the other thing is the room is a bit overpriced.
