I stayed with a couple of friends in the Nupan in May-21 (five nights) and then again in Oct-21 (three nights). This is a delightful, charming, clean, comfortable, warm and homely guesthouse with single, double and triple rooms. The single rooms have shared bathrooms. There are kitchen, dining and sitting areas. Although officially the place doesn't offer any meals there is often enough for breakfasts in the kitchen area. Being centrally located, there is a supermarket, restaurants and cafes nearby. Keflavik airport is close by and transport to it is available. Agatha and Reynir are super hosts....welcoming, friendly and very helpful in providing information on the surrounding areas. This place is definitely going to be my first choice for staying whenever I am in the Reykjaensbaer area again.

The room is large. Hotel facilities are perfect. A little distance from the airport. But because it is a car rental, I don’t know how the hotel’s pick-up service is. Continental breakfast may not be suitable for Chinese people to eat... um... cautious. KFC is nearby.

The hotel is less than 4 kilometers from the airport, but the traffic is not convenient, only the taxi from the airport to the hotel. In the morning, the sign that needs to clean the room is hung on the door. When I come back at night, the sign has become a sign that does not need to take care of the room, and the room is not cleaned. From the hotel to the centre of Reykjavik, take the 55 bus near the hotel.

My wife and I stayed here on our first night in Iceland. This spot is wonderful. It is called 1x6 after the planks of wood that initially was used to build the guest house. The rooms are carefully prepared with shared bathrooms. Andi & Yuki were friendly and helpful in telling us what restaurants to try. It seems they truly appreciate their guests, even inviting those who are artistic to contribute art to the interior or exterior of the guesthouse. This is the only guesthouse in Keflavik with a stone outdoor soaking tub, where you can enjoy the natural geothermal hot springs. (Other places have the geothermal hot springs, but in a plastic enclosure.) Andi & Yuki have lovingly made this an artistic and unique place. The breakfast was incredible, featuring made to order lattes (even non-diary, with advanced notice), home made bread/rolls from Yuki and Yuki's cake that is based on Andi's mother's recipe. We are a gay couple and felt completely comfortable here. We highly recommend and hope to stay here again when we return to explore more of magical Iceland!

Overall it is great, but the hotel is a bit old, and it's not bad from the restaurant. The hotel can pick up and drop off the airport for free, but you can only choose one time. I took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, and the hotel delivered it to the airport for free the next morning. Breakfast starts at 5 o'clock, so you can eat it if you catch the early flight (the earliest one is 7:30 after seeing the big screen at the airport) The heating in the room is super powerful. When the radiator is turned on to the maximum level, the radiator is hot, and the room can quickly heat up to 25 degrees or more.

I booked a cheap (by Icelandic standards!) room in the hotel's guesthouse across the road. I checked in at the hotel reception, and returned to the main building for a fulsome delicious breakfast. I ate as much as possible, so as to avoid having to take out a second mortgage for an Icelandic lunch. Nice comfy room, bathroom along the hall, and plenty of teabags for a brew. Even had a microwave. Definitely a good choice for budget-minded travellers. A taxi for the 3 miles to the airport would have been £25, and the bus £9; so I walked.
