Quality Inn Kearney - Liberty

I love this hotel but this last time I booked through trip.con and I didn't make it to the room and trip.com agreed to refund if the hotel accepted it but they didn't so that means they got paid for me staying the night when I didn't and I even called hotel and they said they would accept it so I could get the refund but they didn't follow through so now I lost out on 73$ and being without a home right now that's a big loss to me...

Love staying here

Staff was great but room stunk with dog odor. We had to turn air on and leave room for hour to air out room. Dog hairs.snugged mirrors, broken caulking. Room needs a good overhaul. Tear out carpet and put in linoleum floors.

The thing I couldn't believe about this property is that there is no elevator to the 2nd floor. We were not traveling lightly and the front desk clerk offered to help carry our things upstairs. It was very nice of her but really, why isn't there an elevator?

The front desk gentelman was awesome, he made sure to give us a room near the door since we brought our pet with us! He was even there when we went down for breakfast. He was making sure everything was well stock. They had hot breakfast foods along with cold. Will definitely stay here again on our back from TX.

1st room smelled of cigarette smoke. 2nd room had issues with the shower. The beds in both rooms were uncomfortable.

Property is in need of a lot of maintenance. In our room the desk mirror was cracked, the gfi outlet by the sink was partially pulled out of the wall and the paint was chipped on the walls. That was just in our room. Not up to par with other Quality Inns we’ve stayed in. Did let the front desk on our way out and got a “sorry”.

There was a VERY strong smell in the lobby when I checked in. I assume some sort of deodorizer. It was just as strong in the halls and my room. I woke up many times during the night due to the smell which almost made me nauseous. The smell remains in my clothes.

Things were mostly good. Breakfast was limited - scrambled eggs, biscuits with pre-made gravy, and the omnipresent waffle maker. Wi-fi came and went. A broken chair in our room.
