AAnonymous UserThis was the best onsen hotel experience so far. We were satisfied in every aspect, especially the bathing area, which was truly fantastic. The bed and pillows ensured a good night's sleep. The bar was decent, and breakfast was better than dinner. I'd recommend staying at least 2-3 nights.
However, I would suggest improving the ventilation in the dining area. In winter, the heating is very strong, and the teppanyaki fumes are very strong and difficult to breathe in. This is probably the only area we feel needs improvement.

The hotel is beautifully designed inside and out, the staff are fantastic, and the meals we had for breakfast, afternoon tea, and dinner were all delicious, as were drinks at the iconic hotel bar. Highly recommended and we will definitely stay again.

The hotel also features a public bath (with both indoor and outdoor pools, though not hot springs). Compared to other hotels in Karuizawa, the price isn't low. The shuttle bus running once an hour is a bit infrequent.

Twin Line Hotel Karuizawa is a very cozy and comfortable place to stay. The architecture is beautiful, modern, and thoughtfully designed, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The hotel is extremely clean, and everything feels well maintained.
The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety and great quality. I especially loved that the hotel offers free coffee, tea, and many other drinks and snacks ..such a thoughtful touch that makes the stay even more enjoyable.
The hotel crew were very friendly, polite, and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. Overall, a lovely hotel with great service, comfort, and attention to detail. Highly recommended.

AAnonymous UserI brought my own snowboard to Karuizawa. It's a 70-minute Shinkansen ride from Tokyo Station to JR Karuizawa Station. The Shinkansen luggage racks have straps to secure snowboards. After exiting the station, head to the hotel service center (open until 7 PM) located on the far right of the 7/11 convenience store at the South Exit (Pic 7). You can drop off your luggage there and then explore the Plaza unencumbered. Take the brown hotel shuttle bus to B21, where The Prince is located, every hour on the hour and half-hour. Your luggage will already be in your room, but snowboards are not allowed inside. Each day, I'd take my own snowboard on the brown bus to the gondola at the East Building. You can buy ski passes and rent equipment there. Ski pass prices are shown in Pic 6. Only guests staying in the East Building can use the hotel's lockers for ski equipment. The West Building also has a gondola, but it requires a short walk. You can't enter the hotel wearing ski boots, but the Makibi restaurant seems to be an exception. After skiing, take the green bus back to the hotel. Of the two onsen, Hongye Bisen has newer facilities and better views from the outdoor bath. All Prince Hotel restaurants require reservations made via QR code. Pics 4 and 5 show the breakfast at the main building, which is high quality and delicious. From 10 AM to 8 PM, you can enjoy unlimited soft drinks in the bar area. Finally, use the luggage delivery service when checking out. I think The Prince offers the best value for money.

RriiryThis was a really great place to stay! Even with four of us, the spacious room felt very comfortable, and for the price, it offered excellent value for money. The kitchen was well-equipped with plenty of utensils, so we were able to buy groceries from the supermarket and cook our own meals. For breakfast, there were options like Japanese, Western, and Dashi Chazuke. I chose the Japanese breakfast, and there were so many delicious side dishes that I almost ran out of rice! The staff were all very kind, making for a pleasant stay. Thank you!

MmtQBringing the dog to stay together, very satisfied in all aspects. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Karuizawa Station, and there is a free shuttle service, which is very considerate. The hotel facilities are very clean. Although it is a pet hotel, the rooms and public areas do not have any unpleasant smell. Both indoor and outdoor are equipped with a dog run and a dog salon where you can take photos. It was fun to communicate and play with other dogs in the public area. During the stay, you can also soak in the hot springs, and adults can also relax and enjoy. In short, it was a very satisfying experience. Next time I go to Karuizawa, I still want to take the dog!

AAnywayManywayI spontaneously decided to visit Karuizawa for a day, and it happened to be snowing heavily, which made it incredibly beautiful.
📌 Location: This hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the JR station – not too far, not too close.
💁 Service: They meticulously explained all the hotel's services. However, I'm not sure if it was because we checked in early and other rooms hadn't been cleaned, but we were given a room at the end of the hall.
🏠 Facilities: The bathroom was Japanese-style, with a bath and shower, which made for a very comfortable wash.

GGuest UserWe spent 2 nights in Prince after first 2 nights in Kusatsu onsen town. The hotel looked underwhelming on arrival and the front office service was efficient but cursory compared to the warm hospitality we had in the ryokan stay. It was low season and hotel was very quiet and had a ”cold” atmosphere.
I was further disappointed when we were shown our room which was on the lowest floor with a simple garden view. On requesting the check-in staff for a change of room on higher floor and a more scenic view, I was told there is an upgrade charge, which I accepted. The new room was the same size and configuration but on a higher floor with a nice view of Mt Asama. While I was happy to pay the fee, I can't help but compare their practice with all the hotels that I have stayed in all these years, where room changes were complimentary so long as the room type remains the same. Nevertheless, the hotel's facilities delighted me immensely and I enjoyed the overall experience.
The highlight of the hotel stay was the fantastic view of Asama in a high ceiling dining room with full glass window. We were able to have different table seatings for both morning breakfast as the hotel occupancy was low, which gave us different perspectives of the scenery.
The other highlight of the hotel is the onsen facility which is located in a separate building on higher ground, accessible via a self service automated tram. Aside from Asama view in the outdoor onsens, there is a common lounge which has equally awesome view of Asama. We enjoyed our time soaking in onsen and resting in the lounge.

I would go back to Prince Asama and experience the scenery during a different season!

GGanmeirenRecommend one night and two meals. You can choose Japanese and Western breakfast. I choose one a day. French dinner🤩, hahahaha, the service can feed me.
Hygiene: clean and comfortable, the room is large.
Service: Whether it is the front desk, the station or the ski resort shuttle bus🚌, it is available at any time✅
Environment: ٩(๑^o^๑)۶ It is so beautiful. It is very close to the station. It would be perfect if there is a hot spring. Walk to take the bus and go to the Stone Church and Yuntang Pool.
Facilities: You can rent ski equipment at the hotel. It is also okay to return it later. You can put it in the drying room by yourself.
