Spa Hotel Imperial

Karlovy Vary|2.72km from Karlovy Vary Airport
The building is impressive, enthroned up on the east hillside of Karlovy Vary. Habsburgian vibes reminiscent of ancient days. Imperial is in good condition and nicely renovated. The scale of the building is huge and dimensioned for thousands of guests. Walking around takes quite a bit of time but with lesser amount of guests than the mentioned thousand, it feels quite lonely to stroll the corridors... The public areas are mostly beautiful, but the five official stars... no, unfortunately not. What is lacking? Well, the scale of the property demands to keep it running. To keep it running you have to have a lot of guests. Thus, you have to attract people who not usually are in the ”five star category”. And so they (try to) do. Many things turn to ”cantina” standard in respect of both the reception and ”handling” of the guests and the dining options. Very tired staff at check in. One example: in the main lobby there are only two elevators, whereof one at our visit was out of order. Another elevator in another part of the hotel did not serve all the floors. Nah.... Rooms are renovated and just fine. All amenities and a good night's sleep in comfy beds. Nice with a small balcony. For those having some sort of boarding agreement, dinner is served as a buffet dinner in the magnificent ”Prague restaurant” with lavish decoration. A buffet is hardly a concept in a real five star hotel and we consequently had dinner in the more intimate ”Restaurant Paris” - see my separate review. In ”Prague” breakfast is also served, which proved to be a great gathering of all the hotel guests at the same time. More like a school cantina than a five star hotel. Everything in place though, and most thing you would want is there to find. Queues to the coffee machines... Parking was ”doen the hill” and we ended up parking on a tennis court (!). OK - no problem, but not in the ballpark of attending staff helping you with the parking facilities. Staff correct and polite. But very stiff. And tired. Many steps behind service of a true 5-star. It's about price/performance. We had the opportunity to stay at three different hotels at Karlovy Vary during our stay. And one of those was the Grandhotel Pupp, which we considered to be much more lika a true five star. AND they are/were cheaper! So, you may well stay at Imperial, just for the sake of the building's eminent history and athmosphere. But be aware that days gone by since the turn of the century does not apply in the respecto of ”grand” anymore.

Carlsbad Plaza Medical Spa & Wellness Hotel

Karlovy Vary|2.95km from Karlovy Vary Airport
I visited this medical Spa without a hotel reservation, in order to get some relaxation, treatment and other possible activates that may be beneficial for the body and health. it was June 2023 after I found the castle Spa closed. I spoke to the reception who told me that they don't have any medical offers like the castle spa, but they only treat the patients that staying at the hotel depending on the condition they came for. Anyway, they allowed me to enter the medical spa and see what possible procedure I can have. They choose for me 6 procedures as per the availability and don't need a doctor consultation. I remember 3 of them which were… Thai massage – Oxygen therapy – Bubbly Magnesium bath.. In additional to use the Sauna, steam and swimming pool. My impression after I finished: »it's really doesn't worth it« The place is very cool, clean and amazing like a palace. The staff was very very helpful, polite and nice talking. I really thank you all. Treatment, or let's say procedures – activities. Etc. - the ones I got were very ordinary and neither I nor my body needed them. I regretted not getting the two-hour Thai massage session available in the designated Thai shops within the town, along with all the other services attached to it. it will be better, comfortable and satisfaction.

Dvorak Spa & Wellness

We met the Dvorzhak Hotel in 2006, when we first arrived at Karlovy Vara for a holiday. After getting holiday postcards in the following years, we were surprised how organized everything. From 2021 we come here every year by the whole family. The Recipes Violet and Natalia will always help with joy and smile to solve any issues arising. The Misha, Elishka and Tomash restaurant will feed delicious adults and small guests, and Radka with Ivanna will serve just greatly. They are very helpful by Angelina, Natalia and Maria. Oxana's rooms will clean quickly and when it is convenient. This year, the treatment is performed by a professional team: Ida, Alexander, Stefan, Jana, Petra, who are already on the start treating their attention and desire to help. This year, my son's birthday at the Dvorjac Hotel was organized perfectly thanks to Marika. Thank you for a wonderful holiday, dear ”Dvorzhak,” and necessarily before the meeting ❤️ Lyudmila Suvorova with children, Kiev, Ukraine.

Boutique Hotel Corso

10 star for this hotel and customer service. I booked a 5x night stay in this hotel for my mum and her partner, for 70th birthday, and everything from start to bottom was absolutely perfect. Customer service as great as it can only get. Rooms stunning, restaurant, food, services, spa etc, not a bit that would need improving. Everything absolutely fabulous. I can only recommend to anyone who would like to visit Karlovy Vary. Thank you to all the staff in Corso hotel with all the help I needed during the booking, and my mum during her stay with you.
EA Hotel Atlantic Palace

Karlovy Vary City Center
We stayed at EA Atlantic Palace Hotel Karlovy Vary for 19 nights in April 2022. We booked a package with breakfast and lunch included as well as SPA treatment on hotel premises. The hotel SPA is located on the second hotel floor, just steps away from our room upstairs what is very convenient. The hotel is distinctive for perfect location few minutes on feet to all water springs in the heart of the city, just on the banks of Tepla river. We have been provided us with a deluxe spacy room with a balcony. The hotel itself and hotel spa facilities were recently renovated. Our room had an excellent designers furniture and built in spacy cabinets with lights inside, what makes the atmosphere cozy feeling you at home. We have also to mention dedicated hotel staff in reception, attentiveness of hotel SPA staff and especially Alisa, the manager. We must also to mention the tasty food in hotel restaurant and especially Oleg who is a restaurant chef. The hotel is definitely worth the money we paid. We are looking forward to coming back next year and wish the hotel prosperity and success. Alex and Nataliya
Grandhotel Pupp

Originally, I was full of expectations for the five-star Pop. After I found out, a hotel was actually divided into two pieces. Through Ctrip, I entered a small door. The front desk was a little big. The breakfast room was very cold and run down. No one came to serve coffee. On the other side of the front door into the front desk tall, the breakfast room is estimated to have three or five large, coffee special service. The room on the side of Ctrip has no five-star standard, and the more dilapidated side is the Asian and Chinese tourism team... After seeing the difference, it directly affects the mood of traveling in the hot spring town. This trip is the most heart-felt hotel. The parking fee is more than RMB 100 for 24 hours.
Hotel la Bohemia
4.3/542 Reviews
Previous: If you arrive at my car, you should know that you have to drive through blocked streets and that there is no parking space around the hotel. My recommendation: Let you give your hotel a booking confirmation, which you can show in a possible police check and then, according to the hotel staff, there should be no fine. I also recommend to book the hotel's parking offer. even if the price is happy - elsewhere you pay as much and need to look for time-around... Now to the positive: La Bohemia is absolutely central, it's not better! Foyer, staircase and the rooms are freshly renovated and widely decorated with golden stuck. That makes an impression! The rooms are really huge, I had a beautifully designed, also generous bathroom and great views of the place. Unfortunately, what other travelers write is true: The beds are very, very soft and breakfast is - yes - okay. The friendliness of the staff is only used very small doses. And I was angry that I was standing at the closed door when I arrived and contacted by phone after sounds and attempts, only after a quarter-hour a miserable man came and welcomed me with the words ”You are the last today” (my arrival: gg. 16:00). The reception is not occupied 24/7, I think rather 8-to-11 ..... However: The location is great, the room is large and the price is relatively cheap. Therefore, because Tripadvisor doesn't know a ”good”, just a ”very good”.
