The services are good, the breackfast was excelent (very good home made cherries pie). The only downside are the pictures from trip.com and other booking sites: they are misleading. The hotel does not have a swimming pool. It is only near a public one.

A place at a good price in a very good location.

First thing first - this review is about the restaurant on the premises and not about the hotel - we were guests for dinner at the restaurant but we did not stay at the hotel! It was interesting as we were walking through Karlovy Vary to find a hotel called "Romania" and since they had a restaurant we've checked the menu outside and stayed for dinner. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, very friendly staff, very good selection of dishes served and an extensive drinks menu. What else do you need for a very good dinner experience? We've ordered oven backed duck leg with sour cabbage and dumplings, traditional Czech dish , very tasty and the duck leg backed to perfection - it was literally falling of the bone. Nicely spiced and a hearty portion. From the drinks menu - a dark Czech lager - the "Cerna Lavina" from the Bernard brewery. Very nice choice to go with the meat. To finish the dinner a dessert - apple strudel with wiped cream. Prices - pocket friendly by all means - a very good price to quality ratio and you can pay with card ... Overall , a very good spot , when in Karlovy Vary and not looking for anything fancy this maybe just the place for you.

Great hotel. Great location. We enjoyed being there.

The hotel is very nice. This is our 5th time staying at the same place. Hotel Stuff is very friendly; however, the restaurant is totally different experience. The breakfast that is included with the stay is very poor, compared with previous times we stayed, service at the restaurant is below any acceptable level, and the waiters are openly unfriendly.

In short, it was a terrible experience for me and my family where we wanted to relax and spend a good holiday in that amazing city. First by the check in, the reception employee said (speaking only in Czech and wanted me to speak czech) she said the reservation is not paid, so I informed her it's prepaid and she should collect the payment from *******, however she was not convinced and started to talk to me in a very bad way, like ... go from here, go to your room! When asked to talk to hotel manager she said no one here, he or she is in vacation. So I just went up to the room where found some parts of the sheets and pillow covers are dirty, so I messaged them through ******* system, stating my disappointment with the check in and the room. Instead of them replying they're sorry and will try their best to help, like real hotels do, same person is reception replied to me " only ill mannered person can lie. No comment"!! ... Never see a hotel talking that rude to their guest, but later on when went through some of unsatisfied guest reviews, I found that's their way in responding to any feedback they don’t like! Of course I left the hotel only 2 hours after the check in and had to book another hotel which was double the price, since it was same day booking and no many hotels available. They took my money in full for that reservation, eventhough I didn't stay there and we were forced to leave because of their rude and aggressive behaviour!
