Riverside Garden Resort

Was very disappointed that wifi wasn't working for my computer.

Riverside Garden Resort is a beautiful hotel close to Girne (Kyrene) and can be easily reached by car or by dolmus if you travel lightly and want to walk a little. It has a swimming pool, hammam and a private beach area down by the sea (free shuttle bus in summer) as well as many other recreational facilities for families. The receptionist (Elham) did a great job to make me feel welcome.

Hotel needs renovation. Doors difficult to close, we have fixed bathcabin overselves, water in the bathcabin can't be adjusted, either hot or cold. Missing lights on staircases. Breakfast and dinner were always cold, very poor choices for food - totally inedible. Don't try this hotel, very disappointing.

Firstly I need to declare an interest in that when we lived in Cyprus 20 years ago we visited this hotel on a regular basis. We therefore were not sure as to what we would find. We were in no way disappointed. Where to start? Well from the outset we were treated with the utmost kindness and courtesy all of the staff from the waiters to the reception staff ,the bar staff to the room cleaners were top notch. On that point a little Turkish to the extent of please and thank you goes a long way. The facilities are very good (four pools including water slides) the gardens are immaculately kept and the sea and especially the mountain views are spectacular. Let me deal now with the admin side ,the meals are typically Turkish in style. Don't go expecting bacon and eggs or Yorkshire pudding meals are served buffet style and as said typically Turkish most of which we found delicious. The room we had was excellent and spotless. Two beds and a balcony with a sea view. The room was cleaned daily with fresh fluffy towels and toiletries provided. We only had a shower so if a bath is your thing ask. There is a free shuttle bus to Sunas beach club which hotel guests can use free of charge (usually £5.00 per person) this place is very plush. The hotel is a bit off the beaten track so if you want to explore the TRNC then a car would be a good idea. It's a 15 minute walk down to the main road from where you can get a Dlomus minibus to Girne. This is turning into War and peace so I'll end by saying we came fory 60th birthday and have had a fantastic time . Big shout out to Emra for looking after us so well.

Every year we come here with my wife they have great service and helpful to everything we ask for make our holiday more comfortable and fun , we recommend here to everyone especially to families for summer vacation

The garden areas are well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not use the swimming pools so cannot comment on them although all looked clean. Unfortunately our room and shower room desperately needed updating. There was a kettle and fridge but no tea, coffee or milk was supplied. There was no safe in the room, only lockers in the reception area which again needs updating. The breakfast was minimal and not very appetising.

You can have amazing time here at pools , aqua park or restaurant with wiev of sea and mountain and its in the beautiful gardens, smiling face and helpful staff you will like a lot for guaranteed, i recomend here
