Stayed at Stars on Ice Oshu. The reception of the front desk and breakfast venue staff 々 was pleasant. The room was clean and there was everything you needed, and the public bath was beautiful and healed the fatigue of the trip. Thank you.

Oshu is my wife’s hometown where she hasn’t lived since high school. We took a long holiday there in July-August, with our daughter, and stayed the whole time in the Plaza Inn. The hotel has one suite on the top floor, which we occupied. It has a spacious living room and a separate bedroom, with wonderful views over the town to the mountains beyond. It was a very comfortable stay of over two weeks. The place really felt like home. The only complaint I might have is that the hotel could use some renovation. Although it nowadays is a nonsmoking establishment, some of the public areas still have a faint odor of cigarette smoke from bygone years. The hotel has two restaurants, as well as a cozy coffee lounge. We’d eat breakfast at one every morning. It’s comfortable and the quality is good, although the Western style breakfast selection is somewhat limited. They also serve Japanese and Chinese breakfast. The Western style restaurant is a popular lunch spot, especially among local ladies. The Japanese restaurant, Kikusui, is one of — if not — the best in town and also very cozy, serving a variety of smaller and larger Japanese dishes, as well as a great selection of sake and shochu. Plaza Inn is located in what can be termed the “new center” of the rather sprawling town with a great variety of good restaurants and shops within a walking distance. There’s no doubt we’ll stay there again.

Situated within 19 km of Chuson-ji Temple and 20 km of Motsuji Temple, Suimeiso offers rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Oshu. Among the facilities of this property are a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and a lift, along with free WiFi throughout the property. There is private parking and the property features an electric vehicle charging station. At the ryokan, each unit includes a tatami. Mizusawa Station is less than 1 km from the ryokan, while Mizusawa-Esashi Station is 5.6 km from the property. The nearest airport is Iwate Hanamaki Airport, 33 km from Suimeiso.

Hotel on the roadside. I used it for the first time, but it is easy to use because there are roadside restaurants around because it is along the main road. It is also good to be able to move by the transfer bus to Yakiniku shop and Naka of the series shop famous for Morioka cold noodles. Convenience stores are only a little walk. Check-in was smooth. In order to press the switch when riding the elevator, the rod was installed inside the elevator entrance and the inside to prevent corona infection, and the rod was taken and the button was pressed. The rooms are card keys. The room is spacious, convenient to have a large liquid crystal television, a TV stand with three outlets and two bedsides. The table and chair were set and it was perfect for desk work. The first thing I was worried about was the smell of the room! It was painful with a tight smell like wakiga. It smells so wide that I feel like entering the room every time. There is a large bath on the top floor. There was an open-air bath, an inner bath and a sauna and it was comfortable. Breakfast is not very handmade and feels a lot of frozen food. There was no local production area on Morioka Kitakami, and it was a quite different impression from the photograph. I'm sorry. We stayed on a business trip. Because it was a late check-in, the parking lot on the premises was full, but it was good because the service ticket for the station parking lot was free. The room is clean and the breakfast is rich in variety and satisfactory. Breakfast is a buffet, but vinyl gloves were distributed and corona measures were good.

The large communal bath is good to enter at any time. The hardness of the bed was not soft and I slept well. The number of breakfast buffet dishes is also sufficient.

Come out to play reservations on May Day. This is not the first time I have booked through Ctrip. Very good hotel. No matter whether it is the front desk service or the location of the room, there is nothing to be picky about. Compared with a few of the prices, Ctrip is still the most cost-effective.
