Sabay Beach

A beautiful and calming place for a great escape from busy city life. The staff and management were really friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar have a perfect view of the river. The best sunset views. Highly recommended 👍

Sabah Beach was a great stay. Rustic rooms on the riverside provide charm in buckets, and the restaurant food is so good the only other place we ate during our 48 hour stay was at the Kep crab market. We can also recon the tuk tuk tours they offer - a convenient way to see the sights and Sa Met is a lovely, knowledgeable driver. If we are ever back in Kampot, we will definitely stay here.

The location is somewhat away from everything else. The restaurant is the jewel here. The food is excellent. The rooms, being right on the river front, were prone to having lots of insects in them. The bathroom was downstairs and the floor boards had gaps which insects could get through. If you don't like insects then...

I stayed three nights and it felt like home! The hotel is in a quiet area so you can enjoy the quietness and admire the amazing sunset ! The staff (and the guests!) were really nice! They helped organizing the pick up from Sihanoukville and the departure to another city. They also helped organizing a day tour around the city. The restaurant adds a lot of value to the stay ! Definitely a place I recommend! I'll be back for sure !

A true paradise by the river. My tree house was so nice and clean, including an own sun bed area. Toilet&shower room in the downstairs was large and clean too. Good food in the restaurant, peaceful and beautiful place! Very nice staff, thank you!

Expensive glamping experience. It was an awful, there was nothing we liked. We went for my partners birthday and had paid for a premium room with onsuite toilet but got a shack with the toilet two floors down treacherous steps. I cant believe guests haven't broken their necks. A real disappointment. Miles from anywhere. . Difficult to get into the lake if you want to go for a swim and even harder to get out. Internet kept going down. Nothing to do at night. Noisy Party nearby til late, kept us awake, then cockeral woke us up at 4:30am. As its a hut, you can hear every sound. We stayed in a 'premium' tree house. Room was nothing like the photo. It was tiny. Basic and overpriced hut. Toilet two floors down, nightmare if you need to go in the night. It's a outside toilet, that didn't lock and was blocked. We ended up having to pee in a bucket outdoors. No good if you are scared of heights or any mobility issues. No air con. No fridge. No tv. No safe. I had read good reviews before booking. They must have been staying at a different place. It's okay if you enjoy camping. We don't! One review said it was paradise, I thought it was more like hell. We went for a relaxing break and had to change rooms and move to another hotel on the last night. It was a nightmare.

I stayed at Sabay beach for 3 nights in March 23. I had an excellent experience whilst here, all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food and drinks served were 1st class and some of the best I’ve had travelling Vietnam and Cambodia for the last 6 weeks. The location along the river was amazing and rooms clean and spacious. I would highly recommend and return myself when in Kampot.

Our stay at Sabay was nothing short of bliss & serene. The staff, food & location exceeded our expectations. The staff were really helpful & easy to converse with. The tasty food & swimming in the river kept us at the resort most of the time. We also enjoyed using their yoga mats & badminton equipment. I’d definitely recommend staying at Sabay if you’re looking for a blissful breakaway from anything… Thank you to the Sabay team for hosting us 🙏

First, the restaurant and staff are great. The room had strong aircon and the shower was hot. The room was clean. We liked that they will give you water in glass jugs to reduce waste. The river is clean in this area and you can jump in, which is very fun.
