Hotel Granada Johor Bahru

Gelang Patah Johor Bahru|0.79km from International Baptist Church Bukit Indah
Pros 1. 1st impression of the hotel from an exterior view of the building was a bit rundown due to the paint on the wall looks like they never paint for many years...but here is the catch. Once you enter the lobby, you are transported into a new different era. The lobby area looks welcoming and there are sofa seats for travellers to sit. It was quiet and not many travellers when I check in at 6pm. I got the room keys within 10 mins of arrival. 2. Once I entered the assigned hotel room, i immediately look out of the window and to my surprise, the AEON Bukit Indah was just a stone throw away. I don't need to drive there but instead I can reach there within a 5 mins walk. I think having a shopping mall just across the street is a good pulling factor. Not only that but there is a fast-food outlet like McDonald and Burger King within a walking distance as well. 3. Let's talk about the interior of the room. As soon as I entered the room, the interior space which I have chosen (Deluxe Queen Room) are within my expectation. Not so big and neither small. There is a space for our luggage and a sitting console to do your make up. There is a mini fridge and 2 coffee cups with coffee and tea bags as well as 2 bottles of mineral water. Not much of an issue. Toilet cleanliness and toiletries are there. There was a dispensing body shower and shampoo press that was installed and located beside the shower tap which I find it to be useful and convenient. 4. Air con wise, cold enough to cool the room within an hour. Adjustable thermostat from 17 to 27 Deg C. I even slept with the aircon on at 26 Deg C throughout the night. You still feel that little bit of coldness but not too cold to freeze you. 5. There is a lot of channels such as TV1, TV2 and TV3. Also got CNA and TV5. So basically i got want I want to watch during the night. Only that if the TV screen would be bigger, it would be better. I think the size is about 29”. Viewing from the bed look small. A decent 55” tv screen would helps. 6. I love the mattress. Very firm and sturdy but the pillow, emm...we were provided with only 2. 7. Its a free parking. No need any coupon to enter or exit. Just Park and leave it there. 1 thing to note is that the parking lots are limited. 8. There are lots of choices for the breakfast. Catering to Asian types of dishes. There are prata, nasi lemak, half boiled egg, fried rice and mini pow. Don't expect extravaganza dishes but I am happy with the choices that they have. Do take note to come down early at 7.30am to get seats because by 8.30am, it would be very crowded already. The breakfast is served from 6.30am until 10am. Cons. 1. There was no iron and iron board, but we manage to get the housekeeping to send both the items into our room. 2. The toilet shower and bidet pressure are not strong that you knew you just need that extra push to feel a comfortable pressure during your shower or cleaning your stuff right after your ”unload”. Tap water pressure from the sink is good. 3. We are able to connect our mobile data to the hotel's Wi-Fi successfully but somehow the bandwidth is not so fast as I want it. A bit lagging at times and when you are so used to the speed in SG, you will get a bit annoyed by the slow speed. So sometimes, I switch back to my data plan (M1 My Passport) to connect to the internet. 4. The pillows doesn't seem to be the right cushion that we want. Because we used to sleep at home using a spongy pillow that will bounce back when you slap on it, the hotel ones do not seem to have that. Once you punch on it, it stays there. So, when you sleep at one portion of the pillow, it sinks. So, you keep re-adjusting to get to that comfort level. For a rating between 1 to 10 where 10 is the best score, I would probably rate it as 7.5/10. I will still come back to stay here but probably bring my home pillow instead. And of course, it is near the highway leading back to Tuas if you need to come in via 2nd link.

Family trip with a toddler. Hotel is nearby 3 big shopping malls and its location is away from noise and overall clean. Staffs were prompt and polite! Check-in and check-out were smooth. Decent facilities in room with spray bidet which is great! Impressive pool view and breakfast serving was alright. Plus, they have chairs at the lift lobby for guests to sit while waiting for the lift! Check them out!

Deposit rm100. Kena cash. Lama menunggu utk cek in. Kat kaunter , annoying nya mereka bersembang. Masa tu ramai orang SG menunggu juga. Keselamatan kereta terjamin. Polis peronda pun lalu beberapa kali. Tak perlu bayar parking. Bank pun dekat. Bantal sedap tido. Bilik wangi. Ade selipar bilik . Takde window tapi selesa. Bilik air pun bagus. Ade lif. Bilik biasa je. Takde space utk solat. Sempit. Kena amik bilik besar. taksesuai utk 4 org. Masa cek out, bagus.
