Miilehill Hotel By Maco at JB Town Center

3day 2night solo trip to Johor bahru , Malaysia. To go to miilehill hotel, walk From city square, go to the opposite site Public Bank building, go up the walkway beside it, turn left, go pass a few building, you will see the wisma HYT, the hotel is next to a India garment shop. Check in time 3pm, very strict. They charge early fee if you want to check in before 3pm. But you can leave your bags at the lobby free, although there is no luggage tags given. You leave at your own risk. Cash deposit RM50, return to the guest when check out. Check out time is before 12noon, after that charge late check out fee. ChecK out is fuss free, hand in your room card, the receiptist talked to housekeeping through walkie-talkie, then return the cash RM50. Free wifi throughout the building, password sign placed on the check in counter. The building lift button, tallest level is 5, for room number start with 9. Room is clean, come with 1 hair dryer, 2 drinking water bottle, disposable tooth brush, tooth paste, shower cap. No disposable slipper amd mini fridge in the room. The water dispenser is in the hallway, near the lift lobby. Bathroom cum toilet is shared by the whole floor, 1 for men, 1 for women(2 wash basin, 2 toilet cum shower cubicle). You need to walk out from your room to go to the hallway, so bring your own slippers. The room card must keep in the cardholder for the electric to power on, cannot use some name card to put in the cardholder to the current on. Room cleaning upon request only, message through the hotel's Whatsapp number. I accidently changed the aircon to fan mode, I requested the help message at 12.30am, he came and helped to change back the setting, standing at the opening door, didn't come into the room. Good for respecting the cleanliness of the floor. The floor is laminated wood, so you can go bare foot, although I found it soapy and prefer to wear slippers.

Took about 15 to 20-minute walk from the custom. We stayed here for a quick 1-night trip. The hotel itself is very modern, and visually nice. the room doesn't have any fridge available, we found a few dirty stain on the bedsheet (which I forgot to take pic) & the complimentary mineral water provided in the room had already been opened and drunk by a previous tenant. We didn’t touch it. The TV didn't have any free subscription channels or built-in shows to watch, so we could only watch YouTube. The soundproofing is very poor. At midnight, between 3:55am-4:15 am, we were repeatedly woken up by people talking and laughing loudly outside the hallway. Because of this constant disruption, we had an incredibly bad night's sleep and left the next day feeling completely exhausted.

Cleanliness & locations very good. Checking timing is rigid, we reached hotel 2:40pm+ but counter said can’t check in yet if want check in now need to pay 20 ringgit for just less than 20 minutes to 3pm. And also the room don’t have mini fridge to store drinks.

Good location. Just that go back hotel or check in need to climb a flight of stairs. Only go out can sit lift down . Directly opposite city square . Overall value for money.

Book this hotel because I read reviews that it is new and the pricing is justifiable. Overall the stay was good. Each of the rooms had two queen size bed, good for families. They also included four towels. Location wise was good - in between City Square Mall and Kotaraya so it is convenient for you to go to the malls and Pasar Karat (new location). Plenty of space to hang your clothes, good air conditioning, no fridge, power plugs in between beds and comes with USB-A & C ports but slow 10W charging only. TV is the smart kind but not Google TV with YouTube, Netflix, Disney+ etc installed. While during my stay, there don't seems to be alot of customers yet, the fact they only got 1 lift, it might be a concern when the hotel is fully occupied. Toilet is acceptable size but for those with larger bodies may find it a lil squeezy. Lastly, they provided a kettle but the sink is too small for it. So either you use the included free bottled water or figure out how to load water from the toilet into the kettle 😀.

Nice new hotel, tv, bathroom heater , towel some still have wrappers on them. Super spacious , can 💤 4 pax. 2 queen beds. A bit bare only. Small hotel but tight security. No fridge.

It's a fairly new hotel at the town. Located just behind city square, however you need to climb a flight of stairs to reach the hotel. But to get to city square from the hotel, there's shortcut from level 3. Overall, i didn't expect the hotel to be so new and clean. Everything is decent. New TV, new air con, new water heater. They even provide water dispenser 👏

We stayed for 1 night. Room was spacious, clean and had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel’s location is also great for travellers coming from Singapore.
