Looking for a room in the area, this was one of the best deals: on top of that, the rooms have been renovated and everything looks good. The front dek employee who checked us in was very professional and attentive. They just started serving breakfast, which was not an option when I booked the room so this was a nice surprise. It was good and they didn’t charge us extra for it. A great place to stay with everything you need at a great price.

It is not what it shows in photos. Very sketchy and dirty. Sheets looked cleaned but the room smelled like Pot & dirt. There was tape covering holes in the bathroom. I asked to change my room and the next one was just as bad. The lock was lose and there was no security lock in the room. I could not stay there with my daughter. I was concerned for our safety. Right outside the entrance was a man in his car smoking pot. Another kept moving his car when we were walking. Just not what it is and the cost was just as high as the others. I had to go find another hotel in the middle of the night. The Red Rood Inn still charged me for the room and I didn’t stay. No apology or anything. He knew I was concerned and when I found another hotel I called to let them know he knew who I was which makes me think he was expecting it and charged me. I think they are fooling people. You have to cancel the night before to get your money back but you don’t know the conditions until you drive up. Save your money and the heartache go to another.

Lots of stores and restaurants nearby. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. WIFI worked well. Check in was quick and easy. About an hour after checkout I realized I left my smart watch on the counter, so had to run back to hotel. When I arrived, housekeeping was in the room and the watch was no where to be found. I tried to trace with my phone, but couldn't locate. Housekeeping staff and management staff said they would continue to look for it. After an hour driving back towards NYC, I received a call from a staff member who said another housekeeper had found it and they would send back to my home. I was very happy and when I arrived back home, it was waiting for me at my front door. Thank you staff for continuing to find my watch and sending it back to me. I sincerely appreciate the extra attention it was given.

First let me say that I've stayedin several Holiday Inns before. My husband and I were not expecting to make our first stop (of a 9 day trip) in Pennsylvania. We live in PA - 4 hours away. However, my husband and I didn't want to drive another half hour to our first stop - Binghamton NY. Denny's was nearby.... I sat in the car while my husband went in to see if there was a room available. Had I gone in with him I would have said no way. The elevator was broken and I'm disabled. We decided to go eat dinner and then get to our room on the 3rd floor. I was wiped out by the time we got to the room. I went straight to the chair at the desk area to sit down. I pulled out the chair and what do I see? A pair of dirty men's underwear!! I went to the other chair and called down to the desk. I asked if someone could come up to take them away? She said that it would have to be her and she did come up. She apologized and said that before I left in the morning to please speak to the manager. Now, I forget where but somewhere in the room was a card. ”Rest Easy. Our commitment to high levels of cleanliness is backed by our Clean Promise. If this isn’t what you find when you check-in then we promise to make it right.” Well I went to the front desk and asked to speak to the manager as directed to. The woman at the front desk said that the manager was on the phone and what was it about or how could she help. I forget. I told her my name and room number and she knew straight away why I was there. She told me that it had been discussed and that half price was the solution. I said okay even though I was a bit upset that the manager didn't think I was important enough to speak to - once she got off the phone of course. My husband and I had a pretty good breakfast as Holiday Inn Express' breakfast is very filling. All of the staff that I did see were very nice. Now, I didn't not see the receipt until later that day. It wasn't half off and the adjustment reason on the receipt was ”Guest found article of clothing in room.” In my opinion socks or a shirt or any clean item would fall under that generic description, NOT NASTY USED UNDERWEAR!.. Had someone from Housekeeping pulled out the chair when they were vacuuming Housekeeping would be the one to find those underwear instead of me. Because the breakfast was above average and all the staff that I encountered were nice I didn't give a Terrible rating. I think all that stayed at the hotel with a broken elevator should have had an adjusted rate. Before the adjustment the price would have been $156.96. We stayed at two othe
